The million-dollar question is how well will this run current MacOS apps? I’d like to use Logic and still have all of my plugins/interfaces function without issue.

Dayum the new air is so tempting. I wonder how much it weighs. I'm quite surprised they went with a 13-inch screen even tho the rumors suggested a 12-inch Macbook.

So then why isn't heat an issue on iPads? :)
Lower performance. Little multi-tasking. Smaller memory. Little to no connectivity. etc. etc. etc.
I understand how a RISC processor can be cooler, but I think it is a mistake to not have at least some small fan running in the case. Takes me back to the original 1984 Mac that had heat issues with no fan.

Apple is seriously killing it here...they are becoming too good for our own good. Need competition.

The front facing camera is atrocious on my 19’ MacBook Air. I tried FaceTime calls, and it’s not even worth using, when I revert to my iPad or iPhone. I love Apple, but there’d no reason for such a shoddy camera in a top-tier product like a MacBook.

yep I used the webcam on my crappy 5 year old dell from work for the first time in forever the other day and I was like holy crap! I can see myself so clear! Compared to my Pro

How do you know heat is going to be an issue at all?
When is heat not an issue in a computer? Don't get me wrong. I love working with MACS. Have owned them since 1984. The original 1984 lacked a fan as well and had heat issues on hot days in the desert summers. I had to purchase an external case fan. Almost purchased the "passive" chimney placed on top of the original Mac to pull air out.
