"Meticulous attention to detail?"
A company that has thousands and thousand of employees, meaning there is and has been dedicated teams for user I/O on the software and hardware, and physical design consistency that those teams should specifically deal with this inconsistently sometime in the last 25+ years, doesn't get some pat on the back.

Most likely this was some internal design/software battle about the issue that turned political for decades. Whoever or whatever manager who backed the old design up finally got let go or retired.

Looks like changes also made to Delete and Return keys
What’s the change? I don’t see it in the pix.

Come on Apple, my M2 air is working perfectly. This might be the straw that breaks the camel’s back when it comes to me dropping $1500 on a new Air! 😭🤦‍♂️😂

Millions spent for that added feature. Must have been hundreds of engineers...probably why they put the Time Machine error on Sequoia on the back burner. That Mute Key is some engineering challenge.

We‘ve been waiting for the native calculator app on iPad for 14 years. This change after 26 years makes total sense. Better late than never.

WOW! there's certainly alot of blondes out there who could not read the 3 keys on the keyboard before? Wow! is the millenial society getting that stupid that we need to draw a line?

Thank God for that, but wasn't there some stupid legal reason why Apple couldn't use a speaker with a line through it? Totally stupid design decision by Apple anyway.
