I think they will use an amd of some sorts with an ati card of some sorts.

The Arrandale processors contains two die in on package. The actual CPU and the northbridge which has the memory controller and graphics. The processor communicates internally with the CPU and northbrige with QPI. The speed of the QPI is 4.8GT/s (Gigatranfers per second). Thats why Geekbench thinks its 4.8GHz. Geekbench doesn't knows it not a FSB but it can still get its speed and simply calls it FSB.
As I already stated the processor can't be faked. Here is the Geekbench result of a real Mac Pro. Look at the FSB. It says 5.87GHz when what it really is referring to is the QPI of 5.86GT/s.
Real or fake, for those of us in it for the duration, it gives us hope..
No idea if this has been said - but, I really would like to see something a little (OK, a lot) stronger than the 9600GT. That, and I hope Apple retains the matte display option - I despise looking into a mirror while using my laptop. I'm looking to buy sometime in April or May, so it better be out by then too.![]()

Too hot, won't happen.

Okay, GTS 260M is a 38W TDP GPU. No die shrink to 40nm from 55nm will bring it down to an acceptable (for MBP) 25W or less.I think it should be a forum rule that if you post too hot---it won't happen.
you have to provide stats to back it up.
a lot of times these cards are the same thermals as the existing cards now
While I am excited about the potential speed bumps...
What I want is QUALITY:
No GPU issues (NVIDIA I am looking at you.)
No screen flickers (Still an issue in current shipping models)
No heat & fan issues
No inconsistent, splotchy & yellow screens.
I love Apple, but their quality has been on a slide for years now and it's getting unbearable. The fact that shipping MacBook Pros, iMacs and Mac Pros have serious quality issues show how out of control it has gotten. Apple's magic "out-of-the-box" experience has become nothing short of stressful.
I sold my MBP since I was tired of the Genius Bar and the warranty was up.
I want a new MBP, but the prospect of spending $3,500 on crappy hardware is scaring the heck out of me. I love Apple design and thoughtfulness, I just wish they would get the crappy Chinese factories in line...

As someone who has had 1 Mac for 9 years that died, I'm going to be looking at an iMac for the Family AND Macbook Pro for Video Editing for me my question is what year did Apple Q/A go down Hill?
yes yes you are a rude bastard.
Well I'm pretty sure you're high or 12... not sure which one, but I'm going to go with high. AMD += no go as poster explained above. Haven't had an amd in a while, but im pretty sure you could fry an egg on an aluminum mbp with amd inside. Hungry for anymore troll food?
