For you experts out there: My 2016 Macbook Pro TB has issues running my new 4K monitor in scaled resolution, things get choppy. Would the new Macbook Pro coming out now fix this problem for me since its "stronger"?

Of course it will. Because if not, Apple will have one less thing to market in subsequent iterations.

of course it will fix that

On a screen this size it wouldnt be annoying, however i do wonder how full screen apps would be affected. Notch or no notch this MacBook Pro is a buy.

This part makes no sense to me since there wouldn't be a speaker. It would be narrower than the 12.
It will be the next upgrade. Faceid will get in there next gen. Otherwise it would be just too perfect.
And a less protruding wider notch would perhaps look better and more unified in the design.

but I don’ t think there will be a notch, but apple always manages to have a little controversial surprise . It keeps the buzz going on social media, YouTube , etc.

Mac OS with a notch? That’s not happening. You would either need a taller bar at the top or menus will run under the notch. Not happening.

Interesting seeing some of these comments. I don’t think a notch would be a bad thing if it means Apple makes the display totally (or 99%) bezel less. Just make the notch take up a small center chunk of the menu bar. Then on one side of the notch are your program options, and the other side are your control panel options. That seems to make logical and organizational sense to me.

I suppose the problem would be on something like FCPX where there are what, 7 program option drop downs, that extend more than halfway across the menu bar. I imagine if they were to bring something like this on board they’d find a way to implement a new OS level way to compress those options a touch (and why they pay UI designers, excepting the clowns working on Safari).

They don't seem to realize that an iphone and a macbook lid don't have the same depth/thickness...

It's a signature design. Bring it on, Apple!

As for bezels, they serve a purpose! Why are people constantly wanting to drop the bezels to zero? For the most accurate colour reproduction on the screen (for photo and video work), a bezel ensures there's no surrounding light bleed. We need this separation between the screen and the surrounding environment to achieve that.

If they do add the notch I wish they'd make the webcam optional, I never use mine.
So you want the notch but without the camera? An empty notch for you because surely they would not offer two totally different chassis choices. Bold request!

They should add a notch. So that when they remove it again, it’s considered an upgrade.
