They didn't release a new MBP in well over a year and the competition still sucks. What else are people supposed to do?

I was going to replace my 2011 MBP 15" this year but decided against it when I saw the new models. But clearly there are a lot of people who just couldn't hold out any longer. Time will tell if this is just initial demand or an indication of real success.

I got to play with one yesterday. The touch bar is pretty neat. Those who dismiss it should really look into it. I played with iMovie and using the bar to scrub and the tools is inventive.

Don't knock this one quite yet. Plus I added every filter I could on a HD movie clip (multi gigabyte file) and it never studdered and rolled along without a hitch. The 15" model is pretty powerful with 16gb of ram but base level processor. Very impressive.

If this makes Apple see computers as a valuable part of their lineup, I'll take it. Now update the rest, please (and Intel get your ass in gear and get Kaby Lake out the door)

I like the new MBPro. The specs on the higher end ones are great, thunderbolt 3 is cool as hell. That touch bar, though. Ugh.

If they are basing this on revenue, then perhaps you need to divide it by 4 to get the actual number of unit sales. That would be a more accurate representation against the competition.

Can you imagine what a new line of Macs would do for Apple??

I was never negative about the MacBook Pro, rather that Apple surrounded it with a pile of air instead of a bunch of new Macs.
