Thats what I was thinking ..its just MBPs and some other iPod revision or whatever, but no tablet.Truffy said:Perhaps the media event is to herald this exciting development, not the tablet at all.
EDIT: though I hope I'm wrong![]()
Something may happen today, I was just on the store homepage and the prices underneath the macs and ipods where its says 'From £...' have gone missing
http://store.apple.com/uk
If you got to an item it's price is still listed but on the front page it is missing. This is the same on the Australian and Belgian stores but not the US one. I wonder if they are working on the store but haven't taken it down yet?
Prices still missing as of 10.30 GMT
I highly suggest you return it. If you didn't open it yet - don't. You could get a full refund. If you opened it, you are going to have to pay a restocking fee (I believe it is 15%).
my laptop has just died! i really wish they'd announce the new MBP's !!![]()
Indeed. Maybe next week...![]()
Maybe Apple engineers want to use nVidia Fermi based discreet graphics in new MacBook Pro-s.. If that's true then knowing those GF100 video adapters are delayed until March'10 .. refreshed MBPs won't show up for quite some time![]()
If you're right, at least we'll be getting Fermi sooner rather than later. If Apple updated now, we wouldn't be seeing Fermi until the summer at earliest. Do you know if NVIDIA is supposed to be releasing mobile versions of Fermi with the desktop versions in March?
I often here of a 'fourteen day' policy on these forums. It usually goes something like this: 'I just bought a MBP. If they release new ones within the next two weeks, I'll return the one I bought.' Is there some sort of unspoken policy with Apple that if they release new machines within two weeks of your purchasing an older model, you can return it and upgrade to the new model? Does the box have to be unopened? This just seems strange from a business standpoint, but would be great for me, because I ordered a MacBook Pro yesterday. If new ones come out in two weeks, I'll definitely want one of those!!
A simple Yahoo! search for "apple store return policy" found
http://store.apple.com/Catalog/US/Images/salespolicies.html#topic-21
For eligible Mac, iPod, and third-party products, you have up to 14 calendar days from the time you receive your item(s) to initiate a return. Personalized iPods (e.g., engraved or customized in any way) may not be returned for refund or exchange under any circumstances unless such product is Dead on Arrival (see the section below for more detailed information on such Dead on Arrival products).
If the item is returnable and you send it back to us unopened in the original box, Apple will offer you a refund based on your original method of payment. You must return the product to the Apple warehouse within 14 calendar days of the issuance of the RMA.
All products must be packed in the original, unmarked packaging including any accessories, manuals, documentation, and registration that shipped with the product. Apple will assess a 10% restocking fee on any opened hardware or accessory.
You'll probably want to go to the UK Apple store and type the same query. Don't depend on advice from MR,
especially for the UK store.
