New MacBook Pro UK Shipping Times

She checked her system to say that 5 of the 6 are there and that it is the ipod nano that is holding up the order and that when that arrives it will all be shipped out.

Having worked in Hinckley for 3 years I'm shocked to hear Apple have a depot there... it just sounds so weird (no offence but Hinckley is the total opposite to the cool that Apple represents!)

I find it odd that they're blaming the hold up on the iPod nano as their website says all colours (both sizes) ship within 24 hours!

When did you order yours Macgrl?
 
^ I ordered mine the day after the keynote so the 15th. I ordered the 2.53 with the ssd.

I know, it is a pity that is slowing things down. The lady on the phone said that the mbp and the nano where shipped from asia with the rest of my stuff - software and the remote were already in the UK

I know what you mean about Hinckley lol

I think my hold up is probably caused by the printer as well as the iPod I guess, and the fact that I ordered on the 17th!

I can't stop thinking about Hinckley now - any ideas whereabouts it was? Mind you there's a pretty big industrial area there so could be hidden away in there.
 
I have googled it and don't seem to be able to find out where it is presume it will be near to motorways as amazon is on the m1 in Milton Keynes.
 
Curse that iPod nano, I was starting to hope that I might get my mac tomorrow along with those with the foresight to order theirs on its own.
 
I had to order the ipod at the same time so as to get he HE rebate. I wish I had never ordered it now but it was £95 off so couldn't really say no lol :D

If you're really curious and in the Hinckley area pop in to the library and ask them to find out for you. ;)

DE 10/27/2008 8:50 P.M. ARRIVAL SCAN

If I'm not mistaken that's the final status before it delivers to the UK - hopefully tomorrow! :D:D:D

I live in warwick about an hour away, unless it is to pick up the mbp I don't really want to go to Hinckley. I know this might be strange as it is such a nice place! lol ;)

Thats were u get the tracking number then you track it off UPS or TNTs website.

Off the subject Cøbra :) how did you manage to join in 2004 but only have 2 posts over 4 years :D

Ordered a MBP 2.4GHz. Apple says "26 Oct 2008" for "Shipment dispatched".

I've tried the "Our Delivery Reference Number" at TNT and UPS, nothing. :(

I really dont understand the whole tracking :( some of these guys know their stuff on here so they will help :)

It's the 'carrier tracking number' from the Apple site that you need. I'm not sure if all shipments get them - it seems those with other items quite often don't.
 
Mine went on the 24th, Ordered just as the keynote ended or there abouts. Still no tracking number but I have multiple bits ie ipod, printer, laptop. Will I not get the tracking number until it's altogether?
 
Bummer, "In transit to final destination - carrier details to be updated shortly." for me... since I've got other items (accessories, which are most probably shipping from the UK).

im still in the netherlands apparently.

hey all, it's looking rather bright for you all as at least there is some form of movement. I'm slightly over eager myself as I ordered the new baseline MacBook pro on 18th oct. 7 business days to ship should be tomorrow and then the journey begins. Was wondering if anyone else is expecting in ireland. Still on 'not yet shipped'...

Exactly same. Let's hope we get a surprise that says it will be here within a day when we finally get it updated.....shortly.:p

Date dispatched: 27th of Oct.
New delivery estimate: 3rd of Nov.

It looks like I'm in the same boat as others in that I'm not getting a carrier tracking number as I ordered an iPod at the same time too. :( If anyone finds a way of solving this - e.g. getting tracking info from the 80xxxxxxxx number - I'd be most interested!
