If those of us with additional bits aren't going to get a tracking number until the items are in the UK there's still a chance of delivery tomorrow because those with tracking info are just seeing their kit en route to the UK now.

I would think so. I think we will see it a day after we get the tracking number potentially, maybe two depend on the time of day.
I need to ring UPS as soon as I do so I can tell them they need to ring me when it's at the door because there isn't a buzzer for the whole apartment block yet as it's being installed soonish....It's a nightmare.

According to Apple, no. We are meant to be getting tracking info only when our products meet in the UK distribution center and are shipped out. Which means you will get tracking info, then either the next day, or day after, you should get your notebook.
Those with tracking info are shipped via UPS, and don't have to go through the extra step we do, of going to a UK distribution center, identifying our packages, and repackaging them with new stuff. So I would say, if they are getting theirs today, then we should get ours either Wednesday or Thursday.

ordered a 2.4/250GB MB at 11.30 on 15th, despite the tracking on apple.com it got delivered yesterday at 8.30am...

It does appear that those that ordered the nano's are being delayed. And that those who ordered many items don't get a tracking number until the order is merged in the UK. Do others think that this is the case? Or am I clutching at straws trying to feel better? LOL

My MBP, iPod and Airport were assigned a TNT number this morning and are now out for delivery! Ordered on 15th October. Didn't have any information at all until it was handed over to TNT, but this seems to be the case if you ordered a few items. Now for a bag - some of the courier bags from PAC designs in Canada look good..

I have the same shipping message as some of the others, out for delivery from Barking this morning and as I am in London, I would imagine I will be getting it sometime this morning.
I hope the concierge at my apartment block is able to sign for it. They do usually sign for all deliveries, so I hope this is no different.
So the order has taken 7 working days (well 6 really) in total from ordering late on the 17th October, shipped on 25th and being delivered to me on 28th. Not bad really.
Now I just have to figure out how to use Mac OSX!

Thanks for the update paddington. I ordered 6 items but most were software that were in hinkley anyway so it is the ipod that is playing me up lol. It is quite possible that things will get updated once the working day gets under way. Fingers crossed. Hoping to get in by the end of the week at the latest. Don't want to leave the house now. I would cry if I missed the delivery!

I'm hoping those of us that ordered iPods and printers with their orders won't be delayed more than a day or so. When I spoke to Apple last week they said that ordering multiple products usually delays the order by about one day.
I've got to be patient though, after eBaying the printer and iPod, I should have clawed back another £120 odd from the cost of the laptop, so this wait will be worthwhile.
Hi, it shipped to LONDON, GB on the 20th. Not sure if it's relevant but the iPod is a touch - I seem to recall reading someone incurring extra delays as they'd ordered a red nano.
