New MacBook Pro's Appearing in Retail Inventory?

Waiting for this new MacBook is seriously holding up my life! I can't start my new job without a laptop and I'm not going to buy something that isn't currently top of the line. Argh!!😡

I'm still probably going to have to go down to the States to get it though if I don't want to wait a couple extra weeks for it to make it to Canada.

Omg!!!

I just placed order a new Macbook Pro 2.4 ghz 200 gig 7200 rpm today (Tuesday Australia) at my University Nextbyte store. If anything changes in the Macbook Pros today am I aloud to change my order.

I only just placed the order for the build earlier this afternoon.

I really hope I can change my order to the new spec macbook pros.

I haven't mad a deposite yet.

i dunno if you can. but my mate works in a mac store. he said the 2.4ghz macbook pros have been hell hard to get, with long waits. imho i it would be hard to fill your order. so i would push them to change your order.

It really is rather lame of a company to intentionally withold information from customers so as to dupe them into buying outdated hardware in the build up to a new release.

Infact, the more I think about it, it's disgusting.

Don't get your hopes up people, as much as I too am hoping for an update (since i really need to buy a labtop) it just seems a bit akward that they would release it so soon after the release of macbook air, even tho these are 2 different types of computers,
wont the macbook pro's take away the attention of the new macbook air's.

or is this just me not believing in the goodness of the lord above ?

(ok i'm going to pray for an update for all of us 😉 )

I really do think it will be a slight revision to the current MacBook Pros. No Air Touchpad, No redesign. Just processor and video and maybe RAM. And it will be a quiet update so as not to take attention away from the Air.

That's fine with me because that's all I want.

But if it comes with a glossy screen only... I'm going straight out and buying the old MBP.
