What I've read is that mobile Penryns are out in January not later. I believe the 2.8GHz Penryn MacBook Pro will be the hardware centerpiece of the January 15 SteveNote in San Francisco.November 6 you will see just how far off base you are. The back-to-school flush is over. New models featuring 4GB ram recognition and X3100 IG will fill many Christmas stockings this winter.

Still see Penryns on Jan 15. Any more MPB updates this year?

Outside of the Iphone, touch Ipod and Imac, it seems to me that Apple has done little with the Mac Books (both Pro and none Pro) as well as the Mac Pro line.

I thought Jobs was really going to make some changes for fall with a new laptop lineup as well as a sub notebook? Waiting for January boggles my mind.
