What exaclty is suppose to happen on the 14th?

Scenario 1: Announcement only, no release yet :(
Scenario 2: Announcement and release the same day. (october 14th) :)
Scenario 3: Release (which means macbooks are announced before the 14th) :D

What is the rumor saying, if the rumor doesnt specify it which senario is most likely to happen? the first one would suck, because We`ve been waiting for so long if they announce it on the 14th for the next month I will die.

Scenario 4: We stop listening to people with no proof and realize that there might not be an event at all.

Scenario 1 has never happened in the past, so we can count that out. Scenario 3 won't have happened, so we can count that out.

All 3 scenarios would rate a wide grin AFAIC

Or, Oct. 14 comes around and gradually changes to Oct. 15 without a peep from Apple. Then we hear here things like, "Well, I'm figuring Oct. 28. Read somewhere that Jobs has a barber appointment on the 27th..."

Personally better specs is what I'm looking for for the MBP.

I'd be happy with a newer series graphics card (9600M GT or 8800M series would be nice, just assuming NVIDIA due to general trend, but a 3850/3870 mobility would be sexy) and faster processor, quad core is probably too much to ask but would be really great, even as an option. 250gb standard HD wouldn't be too much to ask also.

With our current economy, I hope Apple is not going to charge us $3k for a new Macbook Pro.

More like they'll price it lower to generate sales - they do have $15bn in the bank and it'd be a good time to take a bit of the market-share.

I think so too. In a crisis, rising the prices is not the solution, the opposite is.
