I have the new keyboard. I hate it. But not as much as I hate the old wireless keyboard, so I am keeping it.
Sorry you hate your keyboard. It sure is a shame no other companies on earth make keyboards you could use with your Mac.

Yes, all of the new magic accessories work with pre 4.0 devices when connected over LightningAnyone knows if the new trackpad works with old macs that don't have Bluetooth 4.0, when connected via USB?
how are you going to lose productivity.the new mouse has quick charge you charge it for 2 minutes and you are good to go for 9 more hours.what you can't plug it in for 2 minutes to get 9 more hours? And I'm losing productivity because instead of just inserting new batteries in the mouse, I have to wait until it is charged...
Not so smart I think. They should have made the lightning port on the front so you could use it as a wired mouse when charging...
DOes anyone have issues with their Magic Trackpad 2's right side having input lag? Only the very right side edge of my trackpad seems to lag when touched. Hopefully this is a software issue. Using El Capitan.
Your logic is airtightI have the new keyboard. I hate it. But not as much as I hate the old wireless keyboard, so I am keeping it.
I really like trying new keyboards. Not without a reason, though, it's half interest and half trying to keep the wrist pain away. Anyway, Marco Arment wrote a review some time ago:LOL! I need to checkout that keyboard! I saw it briefly and was impressed!

The $199 Australian at today's rates is roughly $143US. Take off 10% GST and you get roughly $179 Australian equals 129.30. Well there you go. $200 is a huge amount. But 10% sales tax and our terrible exchange rate are the reason of the very high price. Can't blame Apple here (apart from the initial $129 price).
The first trackpad was $99 here.
