omg nvm mine just arrived in Oakland, CA. Dont know what this means but that seams alot closer than Anchorage wouldve been, maybe it will come tomorrow, but atleast by friday. Weird I guess they decided to skip Alaska altogether.

Doesn't look like mine is coming today. It's past 10:30 and it's still in transit from Memphis. I also noticed that it doesn't say on schedule anymore, just in transit. Guess I'll have to wait one more day!

Got mine yesterday. What an upgrade from my 3 year old Blackbook.. :D Oh and I ordered March 14th.

Same thing here...

My tracking says the same thing. So I called FedEx and they told me that due to the weather, my package was stuck in Memphis, TN and would not get delivered until tomorrow at 10:30AM.

So Disappointed! Boo! Wanted to go home and see my MBP waiting there for me, now another day I have to wait!!! Booooooooo...

I guess I shouldn’t’ really complain though looking at all the other person who’s had a longer wait period than me. That sucks.

Thanks for the info.

Not a problem. Hopefully better luck for us Tomorrow. :)

Well we've been delayed twice by a volcano and now bad weather. I don't think there is anything else left that mother nature can throw at us to delay our MBP's again.

LOL. Checking the weather in Memphis (sad I know), right now is cloudy but not raining, later on tonight it's going to rain hard and tomorrow also.

Wouldn't it be smart to ship it out now instead of letting it sit there in their warehouse, we could get it in the afternoon!

Ok, I am even driving myself nuts. Better get back to work lol.

No man, you're totally right. This bad weather excuse is bull. They dont have any idea whats going on. I called yesterday to ask why my mac was sitting in the same city in which it was built for over 3 days after i got shipment notification. They told me volcanoes were the culprit and that is still on a runway in Shanghai. About and hour later I called again and a different rep told me that it had taken off 12 hours earlier and was about to land in Anchorage. Than about 30 minutes after that, it was scanned in Oakland, CA. So they were both completely wrong. From there it seemed to jump back on pace. It was on its way to Memphis only an hour after it arrived in Oakland. Now we get this crap about bad weather. There are radar capabilities on the internet and I'm sorry there is nothing between Memphis, Indy, or Milwaukee where I live and what, trucks cant drive in a little rain? Ridiculous, Memphis always seems to be the kiss of death with my fedex orders. My ipod nano sat there for 3 days last week and i had expedited shipping, watch it will be "In Transit" until the weekend and we wont see anything til atleast Monday. Totally bush league.

I paid $18 for 2-3 day shipping and that is not happening. What a waste, never again. I should get a refund for that. If our packages were just sitting there in Shanghai due to the volcano, then why not fly to Oakland in the first place if that was the issue instead of 3 days later. If I don't get my MBP tomorrow, I'm calling FedEx to complain. Not happy with FedEx.

I second that. Nothing really keeping it from making the trip to south mississippi. If it was coming by plane it would have been here several hours ago seeing as it is only 45 min. plane trip to memphis. Even if they drove it is only a six hour drive. They really are horrible about keeping things up to date with their tracking service and I'm having a real hard time believing weather is keeping things grounded in Memphis from coming this way.

I agree. No MBP at my doorstep tomorrow morning, I am calling to complain.

If I were you I'd call and ask for your shipping refunded. I got the free shipping and I think I'll receive mine the same time as you.

Yeah, the $18 2-3 day shipping was a waste. If I get it tomorrow, I'll probably just let it go and learn not to do it again. If FedEx still has this thing "In-Transit" tomorrow and I don't receive it, I'm calling and they're giving me my money back.

I got a real dingbat on the phone this time. All she could tell me was that my package had reached the U.S. and that it was awaiting clearance from customs which may take a few business days and that I should see my package early next week. LOL what a bunch of morons, its like they have a list of stock excuses and they just close their eyes and point to one.

LOL I'm imagining them all sitting around in the office with a dart board with excuses on every part of the board and at the start of their shift they throw a dart to see which one they'll go with for the day. Should have asked her when Customs started allowing packages to fly across the country before the inspection takes place?

Anyone get delivery of any model from US resellers? I see that only place in stock is PC/Macconnections. I ordered from JR.com (because of left over gift cards) and they told me yesterday that ETA is now mid April.

Apple must be having a terrible time keeping up with demand for the new 17 inch. Most new models get in stock at resellers almost at same time (i.e. the new iMac and Mac Mini). Not the case with the 17 inch MBP.

I take solace in that as a AAPL stock holder, they must be having a great quarter because of the 17 inch MBP which must be the highest margin product they make.

Oh, hell no! I am not waiting another weekend again! :( This sucks!

If I didn't have to work, I would make the drive to Memphis myself and get my MAC and while I am there give FedEx a piece of my mind!

i got one from macmall about 2weeks ago and another one from ebay 2 days ago

If it's bad weather then the FedEx planes should just be sitting there ready to take off at anytime until the bad weather clears. There's no reason when I look at my FedEx tracking number on their site that it should still be "In-Transit" in Memphis this afternoon or tonight.

I wouldnt take that rep's word for it she didnt know what she was talking about. I got thru to a lady that seemed to know what was going on and she said it was indeed customs, because customs normally does their thing in Anchorage and we skipped anchorage, they had to clear it in Memphis. She said these packages would ship out tonight and be delivered tomorrow. For some reason I believe her.

Heres the number of the department:
800-455-4588

I got a message that they were closed, but I just called off and on for a few minutes and I eventually got thru.

Ahah, Nature no, but people yes!

After Shanghai, Oakland (through fast), and Menphis (fast also), my MBP has now been stuck in Toronto airport with clearance delay since 8am. Dit not
check but probably a snow storm is going to blow over Toronto as soon
as the customs come back from lunch.
