New MBP 17" delivery dates! Part 2

What i don't understand is that apple didnot made the 2.96 standard

It has left China so I guess the March 25th date might come true. The reseller paid for the quick shipping out of their own pockets...like that made me feel any better knowing that people here have ordered two months later than me and might get theirs a week after
Not bitter but I learned something new...dont buy too early.

and stocked their shops with it. I went to the apple store and by accident got the 2.66 (must have been a misunderstanding between me and the sales person). They told me that nearly everybody wants the 2.96.... so why not put them into the sotres??

Could someone who's tracked their Mac and received it lately tell me if their package went through Japan? Mine shipped out of Shanghai on the 23rd so I'm hoping it wasn't on that plane. Epic fail if it was.

Yeah .... we wouldn't want the two men who lost their lives in a tragic accident standing in the way of you and your laptop My thoughts and prayers are with those that perished. It definitely puts things into perspective.

Oh, I'm sorry you assumed that I would be so thick headed as to not feel bad that two pilots lost their lives in a plane crash. Seeing as this was a thread about shipments I just assumed that asking if anyone knew the delivery path of Fedex from Shanghai to the US would be ok and since I'm at work I typed a quick post to ask and posted an article so people would know. Next time I'll make sure I'm on my break so I can type more and you won't get so bent out of shape. My apologies.

I got mine in 4-5 days from Japan or wherever theyre sent from to Ireland was lightning fast. Cant believe people are still waiting. I've mine two and a half weeks.

Well worth the wait for those who are still waiting though.

My shipment Left Guangzhou, CN on March 22 11:14PM and now shows a shipment exception at Narita-Shi JP as of March 24th 12:32AM - local scan time.

So it does seem likely that many shipments from China to the US go thru Japan.

Very saddened to see that two people lost their lives.

I don't know what to expect next...

I picked it up from my reseller directly but TNT was delivering it to them. It was because of them that I received so late.

I do believe that TNT is the main courier for Apple products...

Now to install windows on my macbook so I can play Team Fortress 2!

Same here, mine has the same info. Think maybe the volcano in alaska has our shipments delayed? I heard they grounded a lot of flights because of the ash in the atmosphere making it difficult to fly.

Yeah, we must definitely be on the same plane. Mine is scheduled to be delievered on March 26th. I got the 2-3 day shipping if that makes any difference. If I get any update with Fed Ex, I'll let you know. Likewise if you can do the same! Thanks

Here's an article I just found. Very good chance that our plane is or was grounded because of the volcano in Alaska. I haven't recieved any updates yet from Fed Ex though if the shipment will be delayed or not.
