very nice!
I can beat it.
I ordered it on the 5th Feb.
Estimated Delivery is the 16th March.
Also interesting:
"The battery in your MacBook Pro is not user-replaceable. If you think your battery needs to be replaced, contact an Apple Retail Store or an Apple Authorized Service Provider."
I think they made that pretty clear before the manual became avalible.
But I bet it is replaceable if you could obtain a Battery from ifixit or similar. If their Apple Retail Store employees can do it we can.
Of course we can, but we'd void the warranty.
Anyway more funny stuff:
"This computer system is not intended for use in the operation of
nuclear facilities"[/I]
Just ordered the stock model ( glossy ) and it estimated shipping 13th March and delivers 17th March.

Oh shnaps, super nicin' it!
Apple has announced a price drop for the MacBook Pro
that you recently ordered. We have automatically adjusted
your order to reflect the new lower price.
Looks like they cut the price by like $100+ on the 256GB SSD! Woo!
Where did you get this from? I haven't seen any price reduction on my order. Are you talking about new orders, or pre orders as well? What about those that have theirs being shipped right now? Will they get a discount as well?
Please provide details.
Well mine is still waiting to be shipped. I ordered 1/13. I did just get an email from Apple saying there was a price decrease and my account would be updated. It looks like they dropped the price of the SSD. I ordered the 2.93 with the SSD.
This came as an email from Apple. Mine is a preorder so I assume when I finally do get charged, it will have the updated price of the SSD included.
So is it only the SSD getting discounted, or the whole computer regardless of ordering an SSD or not? Just trying to understand what is discounted or what qualifies for it.
