sorry to resurrect this thread. does anyone have calibrated profiles for the new 2010 MBP15 HR

Yes, great idea. Looks like the 17" i5 glossy has a 9CCF.
The factory settings were WAY cold. Just horrible. I've made it much better, but would love to see some properly dialed in settings. Setting with those native apple/grid things is a nightmare.

@HouseofG,
I have a 17" MBP glossy with the 9CCF display (which appears to be a Samsung LTN170CT10). Mine came with a really cold calibration curve, too. Faded blues were taking on a purple hue. I bought a Spyder3Express to calibrate it and it did improve it a fair amount. Still not as warm as I'm used to, but at least not the "glow in the dark" neon colors it came with. I've attached my calibration file. Hope it helps.

Thanks. That works for me. It was very cold out of the box and that profile adds some much needed warmth but not too much.

Glossy 15" Hires btw.

Thanks much, gmapper. I agree that this is a big improvement. Really appreciate you sharing.

No problem, HouseofG. It sounds like you must have a good eye for this sort of thing.

I wouldn't wish that original color profile on anyone (unless maybe they were into My Little Ponies), and I got sick of trying to squint at the built-in calibration screens, too. I used to design plasma displays, so I'm really bothered by the overly saturated colors that people seem to be attracted to in the showroom. I have gotten so I expect to see it with televisions, but I'm kind of surprised that Apple is shipping computers that way.

No accounting for taste, I guess. ;)

I calibrated my Core i7 Mid-2010 MacBook Pro with a OptiCal Monaco XR system twice this morning.

Here's the profile, see if you like it: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/7847/Color LCD Calibrated.icc

I find the response to be a little flatter than the included profile, but the color accuracy to better more accurate and closer to my other external (and profiled) displays.

NOTE: I've got the high res glossy screen 15". Model number: 9CB6

PROFILE DETAILS: D65 2.2 Gamma.

Hi does anyone have a combo profiles so that a 15inch Macbook Pro # 9CB7 can match a 24inch Apple Cinema Display???? I've been looking around but cant find no where
