Air or Helium? The Air isn't even in the best buy SKU inventory system yet. Please post a SKU if you have one.

I don't have the sku but if you call and ask to speak to the mobile department they'll know what you're talking about. I had to call around to a few stores to find one that had it in stock.

Might not be in their sku system but they definitely have them.

They cannot sell something without a SKU. If you bought it or believe they have it, post the SKU. You could not have bought something that wasn't in their inventory system. I call BS otherwise.

Good lord. Get over yourself.

I consider that the price you have to pay to get double the battery life for the day. Just what I needed and I hate having to wait for the stores to start selling them.

Quick review:

I've been using the Air for a few days now and must say that this is really the only Mophie that should exist. The Helium is just so awkward after using Air. The Air's buttons are perfect, and the overall shape is perfect in the hand. The case is a little big, but that is to be expected though the intersting thing is that since the back is curved 3GS style, it still feel compact in the hand. Also because of this the headphone jack doesn't seem to be as deep and my standard headphones are actually able to be plugged in just fine without the included adapter.

Battery life on the phone went from 9% back to 100% and still had a little juice left on in the case (didn't test how much but one light was still lit on the case). Much better than the Helium which when I tried from 6% on the phone it only got me back to 84%.

The covered buttons also make a huge difference. The button cutouts on the Helium are just too deep and overall make the buttons on the iPhone uncomfortable to get at. The buttons on the Air are a little small but work great. The silent switch also works pretty well.

Overall it is a great case. Slimmer and lighter than I expected (seems to be on par weight wise as the Helium which is just odd). The final note is that the case actually seems like it will protect it. Outside of scratches, the Helium didn't seem like it was going to protect the phone much. The Air seems like the Juice Pack Plus from the iPhone 4 in terms of protection which is a good thing.

If you need a battery case my advice is to avoid the Helium and grab the Air instead. The extra $20 is worth it for this case over the Helium. Good protection and awesome function so far.

Great review. Thank you! You put me over the edge. I'm ordering a red one.

(4S mophie juice pack plus case with 30pin to lightning adapter to iphone 5 ;))

Lol

Got my "Air" tonight...and so far, it's awesome! Totally nicer & better feeling than the Helium model I had previously. Yeah, it adds a bit of weight and length to an already long device...but I don't think it'll be a problem. Overall, I like it a lot & the negatives are small prices to pay for a 100% increase in battery life.

Man I wish the red ones shipped earlier! March 22nd is too far... and that's when it ships!

Returned the Helium, my Air arrived today. Much much better product imo, the covered buttons make so much more sense. Plus, as has been said, it has a slightly grippier texture. I like the black case too, over the Helium's options, with a black iPhone the case looks like a genuine part of the phones design. Glorious 200% battery life at last combined with jailbreak - me happy.

Headphone jack is a complete non issue for me, I've been using Bluetooth stereo headphones for years now (Sony MW600's).

Just make sure you get the Air, even it means waiting a little longer. It's slightly pricier than the Helium but otherwise there's no downside. I'm quite surprised how superior it is to the Helium in all other regards. So glad I made the effort and returned the Helium (online, so a bit of a faff posting it back).

I picked up the Air at my local Best Buy and I agree with your assessment 100%. Much better than the Helium!

Oh you stole it? I read your other posts.

My other posts? Lmfao.
I commented on a thread about it, saying "Smart choice, it turns out." in reference to someone not preordering Sim City. I didn't realise I had to buy the game to form an opinion about it.

I did not buy Sim City. EA does not deserve any of my money. You, again, are mistaken

Cheers,
Tom Lube

Also chiming in to say that the Air is leagues better than the Helium. Sure there's some added bulk but the Air provides the user a better grip and the mute switch and power/volume buttons are fully covered.

Also the Air has a better fit with less points of entry for dust.

I don't see why anyone would not pay the extra $20 for a more protective case and a slightly better battery.

The Air is a winner in my book. It's a great candidate for a every day case.
