Another overpriced Nike product. I do understand when they jack up the price of some sports shoes like basketball. Because they pay so much money to a sports celebrity like Lebron. But for a running shoes? I don't remember any famous runner that got a ridiculous amount of contract from Nike. They probably pay more to a rapper who has his own shoes. Well whatever makes you feel better I guess. Just do it!

let's see

1. can't innovate my ass
2. where are the macs
3. jonny ive has been busy
4. this isn't news
5. nike sucks
6. apple sucks
7. samsung sucks

I think i got it all.

BTW - these shoes are ridiculously overpriced. In most of my run groups you'll hardly see nikes as they were the bose of running shoes.

Poke fun at complaints, but then add your own complaint. Odd.

Anyway, the shoes are great.
[doublepost=1496351630][/doublepost]Anyone know how to update the Nike watch face to match the colors in the ads?

lol Shoes wear out. So if you colour coordinate dippy watchband w/ dippy shoes, you're kind of locking yourself in to one colour. Imagine replacing your Robin's Egg blue shoes w/ violet when you still own a blue band.

Ah! I know! They want you to buy bands *&* shoes of all colours. So you never clash. Certainly not to make both companies money. That's smart Apple/Nike. lol Thanks for caring about my fashion sense.

Seriously bitching about watch bands? You people need to reevaluate what you think life owes you.

THIS!!! Post of the decade - boom goes the dynamite!

Complaining about people's opinions on an internet forum just because it's different from your own opinion. I think you're the one who needs to reevaluate what you think life owes you.

@DevNull0, Jschu22 is actually NOT complaining at all. Just stating the obvious trend after the first reply (whom seemed to have pre-emptive striked all the complaining yet still occurs). Jschu22 is actually stating the obvious those making so many whining complaints about what Apple is or moreover is NOT doing with every bit of news on a daily basis - not the same ppl complaining every day but you DO see the pattern over the last 2yrs here.

he's just offering a more mature reply in that yes instead of complaining what Apple/Nike has NOT done on any particular day ... that it does take time and maybe as adults we should realize there are more important things to contend our gripes with, seriously.

i'm a casual runner - maybe 10-15 miles/week. but i quite like the flyknit style for the running i do...i would have picked up one of these if i liked the colors better.

Anyone knows if these bands will be back in stock or was this a one time thing? I understand the shoes are limited but why should the band be the same.

I recently got to visit the new Apple Store in Singapore and there was a station where I was free to try out the various Watch bands on display. I can understand the allure of having multiple bands that you can readily swap out to coordinate with your outfits. I was wearing red shorts and the red Watch band looked really striking.

No doubt that is Apple's intent here - to sell you obviously overpriced bands, but let's not pretend there isn't any benefit whatsoever.

These are like the best products Apple has ever produced. I mean look at them. Can you imagine the innovative thinking that the marketing department had to do in order to formulate these pieces of art? Think about all the energy and resources that Apple had to invest in these. It's so "Magical"!

I think the bands are still in stock, it was the shoes that sold out

Keep telling yourself that and you might be able to convince yourself that you made a wise and educated purchase. I mean just look at how many patents Apple holds on injection molding silicone rubber.

You don't have an argument at all with this comment. That forum member you quoted is Completely accurate. Apples Bands are not cheap, but neither is the quality compared to third-party watch bands. The texture, the pliability, thickness, the materials, are completely different than Apples OEM flueroastamer bands. It's not even close to being the same quality as Apple.

The differences between whinjng and giving an opinion are night and day.
Here's a sample of my opinion:
Giving a variety of watchband color in a newly released band style clearly states Apple and its partner mission: to push fashion and style of wearable towards the mainstream so people could look good at any given activities. Compared to other competitor, Apple has the widest (and wildest) range of options of watch customizations one can imagined.
Now this focus could skew a lot of people and drive them to falsely assume that Apple has not innovating enough. While their Mac lineup cycle and innovation seemed has slowed down significantly, it's not completely halted. They're still giving their best effort to churn out some good Mac lines to people (giving them a hint by apologizing about their current Mac lines few minths ago). I understand they should act as quickly as possible so they won't be left behind by other PC makers, but giving Intel's rather vague and inconsistent product release they only have two options: be the first of everything and give their loyal fans a rather disappointing chip performance or wait for sometime to give their user a satisfyingly smooth MacOS experience. Clearly they choose the latter option, and by apologizing then dropped some hints of new Macs later this year they subtly saying to their loyal fans they're not gonna wait for too long.
For some quirky build qualities found in the new MBP, all of its users should realize they are a newly adopter and should accept the risks of living on a bleeding edge. Think about all Apple's first bleeding edge product: the iPhone (better in 4), the iPad (better in 3rd gen), the MacBook Air (better starting facelifted ver in 2010). They all have some quirks. I hope this quirks could ironed out quicker than their previous product lines.
Now back to apple watch. I hope the band is not the only option user has to customized it, and by going into glucose-monitoring band it shows the focus Apple has poured into its wearable's customization.

Now the whining:
I don't have to type it. You could see it instantly in almost every macrumors' article replies.

Doing my utmost best to stay OT:

I have nothing against new Apple Watch bands, but I wish someone would spend some time fixing the broken Nike Running app. It crashes and deletes run data which makes it basically useless. I realize that Apple does not make the Nike Running App, but these items are dual branded and as such I was expecting Apple quality.
Exactly. Starting with the February 14 update, the Nike+ app started crashing regularly on the Nike+ branded version of the Apple Watch. I've had support tickets with both Nike and Apple about this issue, but neither has been able to pinpoint the cause for me. The numerous one-star reviews in the iTunes store strongly suggest that the issue is widespread. I've been using Nike+ ever since it was launched in mid-2006, but this month I finally gave up on it.

I would sooner buy a new Watch band than I would a Mac Pro.

Just saying.

Yes but then those normal kids grew up and found eBay and tripled their money on those toys they wasted their money on 25 years earlier--that is, unless their parent threw all their old GI Joes out when they went off to college...still upset about that.
