New Phone Dialer Thoughts?

Thought I'd ask around and get everyone's opinion on the single biggest (or most patently obvious) change to the Phone UI in iOS 6: the new dialer look. What are everybody's thoughts on it? Anybody like it better than the old one?

I like it but I think I preferred the older version.

Probably a good idea to post both side by side so people who haven't seen it can compare.

Function has always been my preference. Style is secondary. It's fine.

Both look great, even the old one after 5 years. I do welcome the change too.

I like both equally. Looks like a day and night version. Kind of how some GPS apps switch color/contrast according to time of day.

I rarely use the dialer anyways, mostly just click on a contact.

I prefer the current dialer, The colour of the numbers on the new one kind of looks like if you turn the White on Black Accessibility option.

Looks like crap compared to the old one.

In fact, I wouldn't think such a thing was made by Apple. If I didn't know any better, I would guess that dialer were from a 3rd party VOIP app.

Galaxy Nexus. Had it for a short while and loved it.

^ that definitely does not have any advantages.

however, i much prefer the look of the dialer in iOS 6 but since i haven't had a chance to use it i don' know if it will be any better in actuality. However the look does seem to offer better usability.

The new one isn't too bad, but I personally prefer the old one.

I don't mind it. Something fresh. Might be a bit bright though in low light situations.

I like it. Though it would be great if it only switched to the new style either at night or through a setting toggle.

Yeah I noticed that too but it was the first picture that showed up with both next to each other when I used google

The upper bar is horrible when it changes colour. It was nice that it was in contrast of almost everything, now it's like "mixed" together.

And by the way the older is better, but I didn't see the new one in high res, so I can't tell.

I like the new one's style better.

Apple should include an option in Setting so you can choose the whit color or dark blue color though.

I find the new iOS 6 dialer to better fit in with the whole phone UI as a whole. Also the numbers and letters on each button I find easier to read.

I hate the new dialer, it looks like a cheap HTC phone now. Sigh, I wish they would stick with the original dialer they had. Or use this one:
