New Phone Dialer Thoughts?

I like it, looks a bit more modern.
Don't really like dark colours, much prefer lighter ones. A small reason why I prefer iOS to Android.

Probably prefer the old one, the new one seems too bright... but we'll see. The old one is kinda looking a bit outdated though.
For fun, they could make a classic old old school manual dial dialler where you hand to put your finger in then turn etc. Or maybe there's a jailbreak for that already.

It may be a color change, but by simply changing it can give the it the appearance of looking different. I prefer the old dialer much better, this new one looks rather cheap.
The new one does not look "Apple" and doesn't look like it fits in the UI of iOS. In fact, it looks like something straight out of Ubuntu Linux w/ GNOME.
I have to say, what I do like about iOS 6 thus far is that the fonts in apps like Phone and Weather are far sharper. The new dialler doesn't bother me, it's something I actually rarely use since I just open Phone and use the recent calls list to pick a contact.
Let's be honest, it looks awful. If the white one was the old one and the black was the new version, we'd all be going nuts for it

Although it doesn't look better, it's new and since I like changes I'll get over it.
If you look at the two images you might not see any point but I think when you look at an actual phone with the new dialer it does look sort of more modern/glassy and futuristic, especially a white iPhone.
I think the more glassy flat designs in ios6 go much better with the iPhone's sort of industrial metal and glass design, where the old keypad probably looked more at home on a 3G or 3GS

I would have thought all those people claiming they were bored with the look of iOS would love this.
This, though, smacks of that very thing the fanboys hate so much: change for the sake of change.
This color change must be part of an overall change that we haven't seen yet?
I don't know why but for some reason I think it would match a white iPhone 4/4s really well. I don't mean just because it is white either. Though I honestly don't know why I think it would. Every time I see it I just go "that is perfect for a white iPhone 4/4s.

Would be nice if it reacted to light levels and chose the black or white design depending. That may well be an iPhone 5 unique feature to go with Maps, as that's a common feature on GPS devices.
It is funny to read all the complaints in this thread about the change when it clearly brings the dialer closer in consistency to the rest of iOS. Elsewhere in this sub-forum all I see is complaining about how the UI has beome so inconsistent. Damned if you do; damned if you don't, I guess.

it be nice if you could select which color background you can use. I think this new one would look very sharp on the White iPhone, but not so much on a black one.
