There isn't going to be a larger iPhone 5 this year. It would have definitively leaked by now if there was going to be one. The leaks about the new size have been very suspect. The current design is attractive looking, with a bumper case it is fairly robust and with larger cases very robust, and finally, iOS 5 is going to make it look like Apple has done something revolutionary with the phone. To the fans here it will look like a modest upgrade, but to standard consumers it will look awesome because they can stream all of their media content and it has wireless syncing and updates and other cool stuff. Awesome!!! Will it sell? Yes, every single one that they can make will sell as fast as they can ship them to stores. Just replacing all the 3G and 3Gs phones that are currently in service would be enough to make the iPhone 5 a hit. Many folks will sell there 4 and get the upgrade as well just for the faster processor and, presumably, increased memory.
Finally, large phones don't fit as well in pockets. So let's keep the iPhone on the small size.
The original iPhone wasn't that bad.... I still use mine.
This whole naming thing though... I don't know. Just to put it this way, what do you think a good name for the 5th generation iPhone, running iOS 5 powered by an A5 chip is?
The iPhone 4S.![]()
they can stream all of their media content
Or maybe could give us a choice. A larger screen for the consumers that wish to have one and a cheaper, upgraded iphone 4 for the people who still wish to have the tiny screen.
Just curious what specifically you are referring to here?
If Apple releases a speed-boosted iPhone 4, everybody should just go buy the iPhone 4 instead. You won't need the power of the new phone anyway. iOS5 runs perfectly well on it, no need in spending the extra money.
Shorthand for iCloud. All of your music and video will be "stored" in the cloud. You will be able to access it on the go and not be restricted to just having what the iPhone can store locally. That is going to be a big part of the pitch for iPhone 5, I think.
So im not sure what this could be any ideas? The iPhones 4 doesn't have it...

Did you saw any benchmarks comparing iPhone 4 and iPad 2?
A5 is about 2.5 times faster than A4 in browser benchmarks. Infinity Blade got released on iPad 2 with enhanced graphics and anti-aliasing. Games would utilize A5 dual-core processor soon to give graphics like PS Vita. iPhone 4 will soon take place of 3GS. In short, even without redesign, it's worth the upgrade.
What old version of iOS? How can you tell? And also, its not an old phone because the battery and reverse camera have both been upgraded here. This is probably the iPhone 4S and not the iPhone 5
It blatantly isn't running iOS 5. iOS 5 doesn't require connection to iTunes to activate

Earlier today, we noted that a new leaked photo appearing to be a partially-assembled next-generation iPhone seemed to be showing an "iPhone 4S" design running on an A5 system-on-a-chip.
MacPost now shares a photo of the other side of the partial device, revealing that it is indeed an iPhone 4-like design. The new photo even shows the iPhone 4S turned on in its partially assembled state, requesting connection to iTunes for activation.

The new photo also clarifies the battery situation, revealing it to still be a 3.7 V, 5.3 Whr battery delivering 1430 mAh of charge, compared to the slightly lower-capacity 1420 mAh battery found in the iPhone 4. The 4.2 V figure spotted on the original photo posted earlier today was from the backside of the battery and appears to have been referring to the maximum charge voltage, as opposed to the 3.7 V nominal voltage under load.
Apple has also been rumored to be introducing a substantially redesigned iPhone 5 alongside this iPhone 4S, although there has been little concrete evidence of such a device showing up in parts leaks or supply chain channel checks. Third-party cases for the rumored iPhone 5 appear to show a substantially larger but thinner design than found in the iPhone 4.

Fake... It's just a photo of a white Iphone 4 and the inside of an iphone 4.
a cheaper Iphone 4? they could do that without creating a whole seperate product line. If they were to come out with an Iphone 4S, it would be 4G capable iphone 4.
The new iphone 5 would be a complete redesign. With Samsung and Motorola rolling out completely redesigned phones that are extreamly fast, slim and sexy. A cheap iphone 4 may not be enough to woo people on the fence between android and iOS.
