I agree. Well, in a way, I think. It's pretty much your own fault if you don't decide to put a case around your phone and it gets damaged. Phones are worth a lot nowadays. Protect it like you would anything else you cared about.

I do think it'd be nice if phones were made indestructible, but that's not the case.

Would it kill them to NOT make the phone out of one of the least-durable materials on the planet, though?

I mean, seriously. There's a reason why things that are built to last are made out of materials like metal or hard plastic.

That's the problem. Cases give the illusion of safety, so that people treat their phones a lot rougher than they would if it were nude. I'd bet that if cases didn't exist, people would be a lot more careful and there would be a lot less shattered iPhone 4 backs.

Lol, is Gorilla Glass one of the more fragile materials found in a phone? Is stainless steel fragile?

Will there Ever come a time when smart phone perfection is reached or does Business reject this concept? Will there be an iPhone Classic, for example?
There is no such thing as perfection in an environment of constant change. This is more acute in the world of consumer electronics.

Chips get faster and cheaper, the networks speed up, components improve, etc. There will probably never been an iPhone Classic. Why? So you can have EDGE network speeds and not be able to talk and use the Internet at the same time?

It depends on what case ;)

Here's two:

If Apple don't up their game with this model, with totally new design which is more ipad like, they will lose market share in developed countries to Android...They already are...
However,as I write this,I realise they won't care because they're gonna sell a cheap charlie version to the Chinese masses, thus negating this error!
Great,we really are gonna just get an upgraded 4 after 15months.
It will be a disgrace, but I know I'm preaching to the deaf, blind & already converted here...

You think Apple would be feeding its manufacturers up-to-the-minute builds of beta versions of their OS as a production run is getting started? This is not how manufacturing works.

The release OS isn't ready yet, so they would flash them with the last release OS, and then re-flash the stock when the OS is ready, before shipment.

Assuming any of this is true, of course, and not the result of any number of other explanations. But the fact that it's running iOS4 isn't particularly suspicious.

Ok, but why do you think the factory would go through the process of flashing phones in the first place with something they will just have to flash over again when the release OS is received? That seems as stupid as putting on a beta version on iOS 5. Either way it has to be reflashed. I agree with you 100%, that's stupid, and why I think this is not genuine. I don't think there is any new iPhone at the factory that can actually be turned on and used yet.

I think this is internal spare parts from the new iPhone 4 version, flashed with iOS 4, and hooked up to an old iPhone 4 display, and that's it. The front panel and case is from an old White prototype as others have noticed, given away by the old proximity sensor design.

I guess you missed the images showing how all of the internals in this "leak" are different from an iPhone 4's internals? I wish you people would read before saying such nonsense.

Face it, this is the real deal.

Nah. It's a prototype iPhone 4 display, and some new internals that we haven't seen or heard about before.

It would also explain why the home button is not connected, the design of the button connector, or it's location could have changed on the new board.

More interesting still, why does it have both an AT&T SIM, and a hardware unlock chip under the SIM?

I really hope the reason we haven't seen any leaked 5 is because they're keeping it under extremely tight wraps. That they're okay with leaking 4S since it's the same design, and people already know about the A5...

I hope.

iphone 4 already looks dated with big, ugly bezels and small screen.

if iphone 5 lacks lte, i'm going with the nexus prime in november.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_2_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8C148 Safari/6533.18.5)

Nexus Prjme for me

iPhone 4S / 5 = major fail

im going to drop this iphone 4 in the fish tank and buy a galaxy S2 very very very very soon if they dont start showing "leaked" pictures of the freaking iphone 5. goddang it... APPLE is screwing me harder than a Filipino whore right now with all this 4s bullcrap.

Looks like your next phone will be a nexus then, as its been widely mentioned that lte won't be on the next iphone due to power issues.

When 3GS was launched Steve was sick. And now he is sick and not Apple's CEO anymore. So I expect the same treatment to iPhone 4. Face it guy. It is iPhone 4S.

Just want to let you know that nobody is trying to stop you from purchasing that S2.

I'm pretty sure that your narrow-minded brain needs to absorb that.

Wow people are pretty dumb in here.

This is not the iPhone 5 and YES, the iPhone 5 is going to be released this year.

If you fanboys seem somewhat disappointed what do you think that the other people will think. And do you think Apple would have allowed all the blog, rumors and leaked part to point all toward a redesigned iPhone 5 with a bigger screen if it wasn't going to be released?

There is an redesigned iPhone 5 coming and people who not only think that this will be an iPhone 4S but also that people who contrarily to them are not fanboys will buy it, especially after the deception that was the iPhone 4, are dumb.

No one has considered that it could be the guts of an iPhone 5 but with the software displayed by an iPhone 4 screen?

I refuse to get excited about anything unless it's from Apple themselves. Too many strange pictures which 'prove' the next iPhone...pfft.

This whole naming thing though... I don't know. Just to put it this way, what do you think a good name for the 5th generation iPhone, running iOS 5 powered by an A5 chip is?

The iPhone 4S.
