Well if these pictures are in fact the new iPhone 5c, I think they look very decent indeed. I can't understand some of the barrel scraping criticisms here. We don't know much about it other than a few spy snaps and we don't know the price. I am happy with my iPhone 5 I have to say, but I know a lot of people who would love an iPhone but couldn't justify the price. A cheaper iPhone will sell I think and Apple 'appear' to have done a good job aesthetically with this one IMO. Lets give it a chance eh? ;)

In years it'd work like this

2012 - iPhone 5
2013 - iPhone 5S + iPhone 5C
2014 - iPhone 6
2015 - iPhone 6S + iPhone 6C
2016 - iPhone 7
2017 - iPhone 7S + iPhone 7C

It could also be:

2012 - iPhone 5
2013 - iPhone 5S + iPhone 5C (internals 5)
2014 - iPhone 6 + iPhone 6Cs (internals 5S)
2015 - iPhone 6S + iPhone 6C (internals 6)
2016 - iPhone 7 + iPhone 7Cs (internals 6S)
2017 - iPhone 7S + iPhone 7C (internals 7)

At this moment, we know nothing.
I'm waiting for the 10th of September to start making informed guesses of how Apple will market their iPhones for the next following years.

In the US the only iPhones that still come with them are the factory unlocked ones bought directly from Apple. None of the ones sold by carriers come with them since the iPhone 4 (3GS was the last one). Likely because in the US switching sims and moving between carriers is uncommon due most phones sold here being locked to one of the Big 4 carriers.

My iPhone 5 that I pre-ordered (when the pre-orders started) from AT&T came unlocked and no sim tool... The iPhone 5 that I purchased months later from Walmart was also unlocked and no sim tool....

Yep I think these are the real deal. See the images below

Early release date!

Okay so if these are real, and I think it's highly likely they are, does that mean Apple will release these earlier than expected?

The media event is still over a week away and if they are already showing boxed, ready to go devices like this they may even be available the very next day, let's hope that's the same for the 5S.

Everyone thinks they look fake cause Apple will never use pink? Um. Has anyone seen post SJ Apple? I think it's clear now that they cheapened the look of ios to make it match the iPhone 5C.

You've NEVER bought a phone outright before & have NO idea what you're talking about.

Thank you for making ass out of yourself in public.. That is all.

The one who looks stupid here is not original poster but you...
400 USD is NOT cheap especially for a mid end phone that is dedicated to emerging countries. It is actually too pricey even for our markets when comparable phone Nexus 4 is priced at 200 usd off contract...
And please dont say I dont know what I am talking about I bought my 3GS at 1000 EUR back in 2009!

Hopefully it's fake, I just can't believe the phones are already equipped with iOS 7 when the GM isn't even out. And black + color? Apple don't do that, they use white + color...

----------

So ugly. It's like Tim Cook and Johny Ive are on a mission to destroy Apple.

They are, they are :(

At first glance, I thought I was looking at a display of Lumias. I wonder if Apple and MS are collaborating too closely for comfort....

I'll just leave this here....

But I agree, very similar indeed, not that I mind, I really like the design of the top of the range Lumia devices.

Pink phone, pink default background.
Blue phone, blue default background..
Yellow phone, yellow default background...

Not hard to comprehend.

Showing off iOS7's changing colours of the OS when a different background is applied.

I am SOOO glad to see these coming with a black face. White looks terrible against most colors. Black stays neutral while letting the colors show through.
