I don't think Steve would allow this. It looks like one of those Incase Black covers have been used on the top.

I really hate that that the black is not on the top and bottom. I mean, what I like from the current MBP is that everything has the same brushed aluminum. A black keyboard ok, but little things like the trackpad, and not having the button black too? Hate that.

One more thing, on the first picture and the right MBP, where is the Magsafe input?

1 word: fake.

besides, it would be awkward as hell to open the lid since there's no groove to hold onto while opening the lid like on the macbook/air.

Ports ?

I see express card, audio I/O and then 3 identical ports any ideas apart from the inevitable fake ?

I am starting to think the pro will be black anodised aluminium and the regular macbook will be white or just plain silver aluminium. Nobody has considered a white keyboard like the new desktop keyboard in any of their mockups ? They will continue the iphone continuity and style through their range ? Hmm ...

In the top picture the sides of the bottom case are black but in the ad they're not. Seems to me like a case.

fake for a bunch of reasons, first being the apple size,it's too small for a 15",and the one in the pix is supposed to be a 17"

I'm not so sure that it is fake. The ad mockup certainly isn't Apple, but the notebooks.... Hmmmmm. This could be the new MBP gang.

Glad that I don't need one.

On the one on the right side, the screen section looks larger than the bottom section. Seems fake-ish...

I like the design having the inside be black on top, silver (with black keys on the bottom). But the OUTSIDE should match.

Also... fake :p (A couple non-Appley awkward touches: the hinge-antenna not being black to match the lid, and the trackpad button not being black to match the trackpad.)

But many fakes are useful as visual speculation--if they were presented as mockups for discussion

ouch i really hope this is a fake mockup it looks very pc-ish with the multi-color. I think i will go with an all silver macbook if apple releases something like this.

Maybe its apple themselves leaking these rumored pics so they can gauge customer reactions on message boards and rumor sites, They probably have a few designs ready for production :p

If these pictures are still on the internet 5hours from now.... they're fake!
If MMi and MacRumors get a nice email withing the next 5hours to remove the pics, they are real.

Apple loves to play the waiting game (concerning updates), so let's do the same thing here :)

I love this glossy look. And I need to tell you an old Dutch saying: 'A "loud cow" is bound to have black or white spots.' This means that if a lot of noise is being generated by a large number of people, it certainly suggests that Apple is indeed going in this direction, design-wise.

So get ready, you black and silver haters, the Oakland Raiders and Raiderette fans are ready to buy! :D:cool::D

One word: REAL

No, I'm just ****ing kidding. Those are the ugliest laptop mockups I have ever seen. Steve would **** on those and then fire the person responsible.

Fake. Thread over.
Looks believable but I don't think it's real. :D

And I thought the MacBook (not the Pro) would have the black display bezel and the large swaths of black.

And FYI… the original glass trackpad rumor (from 9 to 5 mac) said nothing about a display, that was from a flurry of speculation.

And the design that gets the worst reaction from these boards is the one they release (aluminum keyboard, "fat" iPod nano). :D

The aluminum keyboard pictures would like to disagree with you.
