For the record:

The Chinese translator over the presentation really did suck and it cut out on me every 2-3 minutes. Didn't get a solid stream until the announced the :apple:watch

I wasn't impressed. Still getting a new iPhone!

lame samsung, there is a thin line between envy and poke fun.. i'm thinking samsung is envy their keynote doesn't get coverage like apple does

What I took away from that was that Samsung owners watch youtube videos of their favorite superhero's while they sketch the cosplay girl of their dreams that they'll never have in reality. I prefer my products have real soul and my women to just be real thank you very much!

The Denny's one was better. :p

Samsung has got to be one of the stupidest companies around. Their ad agency should be fired. Or whoever approves most of their ads should be anyway.

Not even one chuckle. So lame.
In fact, these are THE dullest commercials I've ever seen.
Samsung, you are one lame-ass beeatch.

Me during the keynote streaming:

*****. this happens every year.
Is that a Chinese person? (refreshes page)
Yep. That b*tch is gonna be talking the whole time.

I actually did watch the Galaxy S4 keynote ("Samsung: The Musical"), it was so bad it was quite entertaining.
I watched sections of it afterwards. Amazing how much Samsung hates women, yet how little publicity they get for it. One of the 'characters' in the S4 keynote was a harmless woman who the emcee would tell to shut up in a gay voice every time she tried to speak. It was disgusting on so many levels.

These ads actually hit the spot for those people that the ads are targeted for, the Samsung fanbase that we know and love that always need to write mockery statement in every Apple thread they see and some even registering on Apple oriented sites just to make a mockery of Apple products. The ads will likely be loved by "spec-kids" because yeah, specs are everything and gives you so much cool points at the daycare where such a mentality fits best. People that base their purchase on specsheets and not the product as a whole, and mature ecosystem heh, whats that nonsense!!!

Yes i exaggerated a bit, but only a bit, thats the weird part.

Apple let us down big time with the stream though. They directed all traffic to it for a whole day, then failed at delivering.

No doubt, but watching live streams of tech product reveals is such an insider game anyway, the vast majority of the buying public won't do that. And it has nothing to do with the product itself anyway, a product that isn't even on sale yet. It's like if Samsung's washing machine and refrigerator factory burned down and Apple made an ad making fun of it. What? Who cares? Does that affect the phone consumer in any way?

I think they are jealous because not as many people watch their live streams so of course, they never have server issues.

Server issues would mean blackout, but nearly the whole iPhone part was unwatchable. That's simply the truth. Hearing the song at the beginning made me chuckle first and then turn off audio. The Chinese translater made me really angry too... That's far from professional, they must have known that more than a couple of million people will watch the keynote online after all that hype. The moment I switched from the web player to my iPad lots of the problems seemed to be solved but this could also have been a coincidence.

More of this please, seriously.
Apple needs all the flak they can get obviously before they start working on their streams.

It's always a mess, this time however it has been a disaster.

I eventually waited for the podcast to appear, since I wanted 1080p whilst I was at not watching live I had to wait "a little longer"... (which means I just finished watching it an hour ago.....)

Seriously, Apple needs to step it up here, I'm willingly watching their marketing, at least make it comfortable and easy!

Technically, Apple's live streams are normally perfect, but this time they added a new feature, otherwise known as the live blog. It was on the same page as the live stream and due to the way it works, it forced the page to fetch new data constantly. So in the end, bad JSON coding actually caused the problems. I watched it on an Apple TV and it was perfectly fine.

This commercial makes no sense to me.

Also is mocking Apples streaming issues suppose to promote Sammy's products somehow?

Seriously

Seriously, you need better, faster internet. I have a mere 20mbps internet speed and streamed it live in 1080p, played it on podcasts in 1080p no problem. Was watching it in 1080p on my iPhone using T-Mobiles network, no problems there either.
