How'd you like those "I'm a Mac" ads?

Yes I remember them after the 100th person to remind me of an ad that ended 5 years ago.

But lets look at those ads
Most of them were fun pokes. After searching "I'm a Mac" here is a summary of the first video I watched

Mac "Hello im a Mac"
PC "And I'm a PC, you know we use a lot of the same kinds of programs"
Mac "Yea like Microsoft Office"
PC "But we retain a lot of what makes us, us"
Mac "You should see what this guy can do with a spreadsheet! Its insane" (Pointing at PC)
PC "Shucks"
Mac "Yea and he knows I'm better at life stuff like music, pictures, movies, stuff like that"
PC "What exactly do you mean by better?"
Mac "By better I mean making websites or a photo book is easy for me and for you, its not"
PC "Oh that kind of better"

Samsung commercials either directly make fun of iPhone users, or saying we did it first! When your main advertising is implying buy this because we're not Apple?...

Huh?!?

It's amazing how low Samsung is willing to go just like Microsoft to try to get people to buy their products. Wow! Pathetic!

-Mike

Hmm Samsung are rights, the 5.5 was already in their product line before Apple but seriously, what is the purpose of such commercial?

On the market I believe there are : people that are not Apple fans neither Samsung, Apple fans, Samsung fans...

Apple fans will keep buying iphone...
Samsung fans keeps buying Samsung stuff...
People who didn't followed Apple events and we're not aware of the new iphone get informed now by Samsung...

So this advertisement will just make the fans filling the forums and sorry but did I missed the point of a commercial? Getting money? As mentioned before the targeted public looks only the people who are not fans and sorry for Samsung Apple as a great aura around its name, I know it may not be true but Apple sounds in people mind like great, working, perfection(which I don't necessary agree) but never mind, this commercial will just make Apple selling more products...

Samsung should really focus on their strong areas: S-pen, touching glass with gloves works, price, memory extension, battery exchange... No need to compare, people are smart enought to compare what they have now vs what they will get if they change for the new Samsung...

If I was buying an Android it'd be the HTC One M8, but what puts me off is software updates... Samsung as well as every other phone not named Apple is way behind the 8 ball. Samsung can pat it back all it wants but it's still a bitch to update to the newest software and takes months of waiting and hit and miss if a phone 2 years or older will even be supported. Thought these are cell phones that are meant for calls, texting, light internet and apps, these aren't computer replacements, if that's what you're doing then I guess these 5.5"+ screens make a bit of sense, but if your buying a cell phone to be a cell phone and use a tablet or computer at home... I don't get the need for a huge screen to completely fill your pocket and jab your hip when sitting.

You're right. Software updates on Samsung phones are a mess. BUT you have a big and active Android community. I'm running Android 4.4.4 (that is, the latest and fresh version) on my Note. Actually I find open source Android implementations more elegant than customizations from Google partners. The GUI is more fluid, there are less bloatware. I'd give a chance to TouchWiz if I bought a Note 4, but when Samsung stops providing updates you always have the option of installing open source roms.

It's a matter of preference, but I'm comfortable in the Android ecosystem. What really makes the difference to me are hardware features. Don't care with stuff that "make my life easier" (which in truth are things that make we spend more money).

Do you have any sort of proof that few people are interested in the iPhone 6+?
Samsung will get eaten up by the Chinese oem's. Apple has no worries.

Bash Apple? Not at all.

For those that forgot, it's common sense.

Apple advertisement ahead!

You also had some who defended "no 4gLTE" on iPhone. "We don't need that" they said."iPhone is fast enough" they said. "Android only had 4g b/c they only care about specs" they said. Yet when Apple finally released an LTE phone, all of sudden 4g is cool and magical and life changing. It's the same thing with the bigger screen phones. "Eww I don't want a huge tablet on my head, 3.5in is just perfect for a phone" *apple increases the size to 4 inches* "4 inches for a phone is just perfect. Anything bigger is just too big. You might as well hold an iPad to your head" (b/c an almost 10 inch tablet is clearly the same as a phone but that's neither here nor there) All of a sudden Apple releases even bigger iPhones and suddenly those are the perfect sizes. Yet when Samsung was coming out with the bigger screen phones, the iBots ridiculed

There has aways been a camera kit if you just had to have a usb port on a iPad but it must not have been important because no other manufacture sell as significant number of tablets what Droid heads were buying as 4G was not LTE because it was not ready yet. When it was had a deployment that mattered and chips that wouldn't kill your phone in 3 hours, Apple supported it. It's funny how all these wonderful phones that were so much better and far outselling Apple weren't being used online. 5.5 is still too big to me. The 4.7 with the ability to drop the screen real-estate down to be reached on handed makes more sense to me.

I just dont get how anyone in their right mind would use Android? I tried it and its fugly and useless, IMO.

To make fun of Apple copying screen size is tragically hilarious coming from Samsung. After the first iPhone presentation, they scrambled their design team to start copying the IPH right away.

To give Apple credit, i dont think phones need to be huge. I still think the IP5 is near perfect in terms of form factor. Really wish they didnt bother with 5.5. .4.7 seems to be the sweet point for most people i know.

I think it's really fun bashing the iOS world. Actually I love bashing anything that involves fanatism. I really love Macs because they're inexpensive considering what they offer. But I have difficult to recognize the same advantage on iPhones.

Another, oh but they didn’t make fun of me post, they didn’t make fun of me they made fun of my choices. Fun is a matter of perspective.
Seriously how different is it. It’s just s very subtle way of obtaining the same result.

Yeah, he’s not stupid but he’s always doing stupid things = Yes, actually he is stupid.
So what if it ended a 5 years ago. It’s still pointing out hypocrisy.

Maybe they should talk more about how they copied the aluminum build of the iPhone 5s, or at least how inspired by it they were. Note 4 wanted to be more like 2012's iPhone 5.

I hope I am just one of many that quotes you on this to let you know of your error.

Those made the device look bad. These make the user look bad. It's actually a very huge difference.

No there isn’t. If I choose some poor hardware that says I didn’t make the right choice. I’m either stupid, ignorant or both.
It’s fine to laugh at those people choices but not themn right?

I laugh at where you live or your choice of partner but that’s fine cos I said you’re a great guy?
It’s what you like, it’s what they like. Nothing wrong with it. Why do Apple fans feel the need to make up excuses for everything they do?

They must be worried now they can't say the iPhone only has a 4" screen. Doesn't iOS8 have multi window display when it comes out next week?

Samsung owners will always try to compare their phones with the iPhone...
LG owners will always try to compare their phones with the iPhone...
HTC owners will always try to compare their phones with the iPhone...
and so on...

iPhone owners do not compare their phones with anything else. We don't need to and that is the big difference.

Verizon started deploying LTE in 2010, with their first LTE phone being released in March 2011. So the verizon phones that came out in 2011 were LTE or "real 4g" as some like to say. AT&T's LTE was also coming out in 2011. The reason I didn't get 4S at the time was b/c it didn't have 4g. I wasn't gonna be locked into another 2yrs with a 3g phone. But what made me LOL is how the Apple apologist laughed at 4G and said it was useless and Apple didn't need that and the iPhone was perfect the way it was...in other words, the usual bs.

And I'm actually glad Apple finally made the iPhone bigger. But again what I find funny is some of the same ones who proclaimed the 3.5in screen to be perfect (who were also the same ones to say that the 4in screen was perfect) are now getting an iPhone 6, with the "perfect" screen size. It just makes me laugh. When Samsung was releasing their bigger screen phones, the apple fans mocked it and said how it looked stupid and phones that big would never catch on and...the iPhone has the perfect size. My how things have changed

See, people flame on other sites too. You may need to leave the Apple forums for a while to experience the rest of the internet.

Touch screen smartphone came out in 2000. Apple wasn't the first. You're welcome.

When you're the gold standard, you don't mention your competitor. Hence, why Apple rarely, if ever, mentions Samsung.

It's interesting how many people have forgotten the PC vs Mac commercials.

Or Ellen Feiss for that matter. Beep, beep, beep. The stupid PC ate my homework!

Yes, those commercials are petty, but don't act as if Apple were above that. It's not like Tim Cook never mentioned any competitors by name in his keynotes to get a cheap laugh from the audience. The way to react to this is to ignore it and to let the customers make up their minds.
