I just dont get how anyone in their right mind would use Android? I tried it and its fugly and useless, IMO.
Really wish they didnt bother with 5.5. .4.7 seems to be the sweet point for most people i know.

See this is what gets me. When somebody says "I wish they wouldn't have made a 5.5in model" Why? Why limit choices? Some prefer the bigger size. 4.7 is too small for quite a few people, including myself. I say kudos to Apple for listening to their customers, instead of trying to TELL the customers what they want

No there isn’t. If I choose some poor hardware that says I didn’t make the right choice. I’m either stupid, ignorant or both.
It’s fine to laugh at those people choices but not themn right?

I laugh at where you live or your choice of partner but that’s fine cos I said you’re a great guy?
It’s what you like, it’s what they like. Nothing wrong with it. Why do Apple fans feel the need to make up excuses for everything they do?

I'm beginning to wonder if you have actually seen more than one ad from either companies...

Their lameness aside, I relish in the fact that :apple:Pay isn't something Samsung will ever be able to copycat -- it's such a precise and deliberate blend of hardware, software (OS), patents, business deals, existing assets (credit cards via iTunes), etc.

Peace, Samsung.

Have you heard of Google Wallet? Google Wallet has been out for a while now. There are already companies out there in the US like McDonalds and other companies that Apple has mentioned you can use your phones to pay the bill for the past couple of years now. Yes, that means Samsung phones have had the capability to pay by using your phone with Google Wallet too. Japan and South Korea have been using phone NFC payments for 5 years now. Apple didn't invent the pay with your phone. Apple just wants you to think that they invented the pay with your phone.

Another, oh but they didn’t make fun of me post, they didn’t make fun of me they made fun of my choices. Fun is a matter of perspective.
Seriously how different is it. It’s just s very subtle way of obtaining the same result.

Yeah, he’s not stupid but he’s always doing stupid things = Yes, actually he is stupid.
So what if it ended a 5 years ago. It’s still pointing out hypocrisy.

What are you even doing on these forums???

Well I think that there is some truth on this. Apple is doing thinks in a really weird way in the last time.

They criticized netbooks -> then release the 11.6" Air
They criticized small tablets -> then release the iPad mini
They criticized big screens on phones -> then release the iPhone 6 Plus.

Their products are still very good but seems that Apple is one step behind the rest.

What do you think?

It's a screen size!!!

It's not like it's some technological innovation!

Apple could have built the original iPhone with a massive screen from the start (exaggeration of course), but they just waited until they could perfect it.

PS: The 'I'm a Mac/PC' ads were nothing like this.

Remember back then Apple was the underdog, an underdog with truly great products losing out to a dominant Microsoft with not-so-good products (awful products in my opinion).

Also it's worth remembering that those ads were playful, Mac and PC were friends in the ads.

This isn't "Apple Fanboys Anonymous" you know? It's a forum for rumors about Apple products, many of us like them, or many aspects of them, it doesn't mean we worship everything Apple do as flawless or lap up every bit of drivel they spout.

A 5.5'' smart'phone' was stupid when Samsung released it and it's still stupid now that Apple releases it. It doesn't make ANY sense AT ALL, but it will sell a lot because people just assumes that "bigger is better". I would be ok with that if for this stupid attitude Apple wouldn't have dropped the 4'' size which was so much better than 4.7''.

Maybe they should talk more about how they copied the aluminum build of the iPhone 5s, or at least how inspired by it they were. Note 4 wanted to be more like 2012's iPhone 5.

HA
what are you gonna say about this!!!! ha!!! aa!?
what happened here?!?! what happened here samsung fans?!!? what what? :):):):p

Apple didn't invent the pay with your phone. Apple just wants you to think that they invented the pay with your phone.

Where did Apple state that they invented "pay with your phone"? Where did anyone state that?

Apple only invented the secure "pay with your phone" solution that does not require you to unlock your phone and enter your PIN.

I’m a Mac user. Bought a PowerMac G4 in 2001, followed it with a PowerMac G5, Mac Pro, Mac Mini x 2, MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, 2 x airport base stations, 1 time capsule, various keyboards and other peripherals, lots of iPhones/iPods and more. A fair but more.
I like them a lot, I like what they do and how they feel. I’m not blinded by them. When they are full of **** I’ll point it out. I take the same attitiude toward the Fonbwa, there are plenty here.
Are you 1, you sound like one?

saying apple didnt invent pay with your phone is like saying visa, mastercard and american express didnt invent pay with a card. its true but so what?

Obviously not a great move. I find it ironic that if Samsung now thinks this is copying then you can apply the same logic to what ever Apple has ever complained about them copying. Waiting for the next law suit.

No they weren’t. Apple went out of their way to make PC look the fool and you ate it up because they did it nicely with a little humour. It’s called passive agressive.

Well

Samsung say they invented the phablet and now Apple is following?

Until 2007, Samsung did not know how to make a smartphone, apps, intuitive UI, and heck a business model to support the platform.

Thank Apple for all of it and Apple may thank you for creating a larger phone.

What a joke of a company. They sound like a teenager.

is there a way to point a flaw without sounding mean? will saying "no offense, but" beforehand do the trick maybe?

do you also think a slap on the hand is the same as a knockout

There is always the option not to point out a flaw but to simply speak about one's own strengths without ever mentioning a competitor.

For those of you comparing this to the I'm a Mac/PC ads and saying Apple is just as bad as Samsung, you have to keep one thing in mind: context.

It's one thing for a small player in a given market (i.e., Apple and their 5% share of the computer market back then) to poke fun at the market leader. You almost expect that. The little guy has to show why their offering is better than the most popular choice, convince you why the thing your neighbors are buying isn't the right thing for you. It's almost a David and Goliath sort of thing. You sort of admire the little guy having the nerve to stand up to the giant.

Wendy's did it to McDonalds with their wildly popular "Where's the beef?" campaign. Pepsi has done it to Coke. Amazon and Microsoft have done it to Apple (in tablets.) The list is endless, and nobody ever stops to say "Wow, Wendy's was really mean-spirited and rude."

However, it takes on a petty and needlessly vicious tone when the market leader (which is what Samsung is when it comes to phone sales) starts taking shots at a company that sells fewer phones than they do. It flips the David and Goliath scenario and starts to look like the playground bully lashing out.

That's my take. Samsung's ads are strikingly tone deaf in this regard. I'm surprised they're willing to project such an overly defensive and mean-spirited image of themselves. Even more remarkable is the fact that they apparently don't realize they're doing it

My father has had a galaxy S2, S3 and now currently owns a note 3. He told me as soon as Apple releases a larger screen phone, he'll get it.

I asked him whether that's still true or not. He said he will be purchasing an iPhone 6 Plus in the next upcoming weeks.

One example, isolated albeit, of Samsumg losing out on a repeat customer.

i agree with you. these kind of ads are unpleasant, and maybe apple knows that now. cant say the same about samsung

but the earlier point i was making still stands: the Im a Mac and the samsung anti apple ads are comparable as much as apples and oranges are - they are both fruits.
