New benchmark report of 13.2 iMac (running mountain lion) appears although unlocked processor hints it may be hackintosh rather than genuine Apple machine. http://browser.primatelabs.com/geekbench2/990724
What?!
So, Tuesday 18th for silent refresh anyone? Last chance saloon for those of us who have been waiting to take advantage of back to school
I just don't see it happening in September with all the logistics needed to organize the product and people for the iPhone.
Perhaps a soft launch around october when the new ipods and iTunes is available.
In my mind redesign probably means 2013 launch which I don't think I agree with. We know it's screen lamination issues which held it back from a July launch so this platform is ready to roll. Like NOW (cf. "imminent" in @claytonmorris blog)!
I agree with you that a redesign probably means an event somehow but with iPad mini to launch and fast approaching holiday season after an assumed mid-Oct iPad mini launch, I just can't see it.
if its not tomorrow it must be within the next few weeks
i dont know how you dont see it, this is the longest its ever taken for imac to be release, clearly something is up, if there is screen lamination issues why would they have that now? they been doing the same screens since 2009 why would they have that problem if it isnt something new they are trying, i really dont know how you cant see a new design in the horizon. Theres definitely going to be a new design every rumors says so too. We will get a new design in october and not 2013 youll see.

hahha i love people like this, if not tomorrow then the next tuesday if not that one then the next one or the next one or the next one or the next one hhahaha im not trying to be an ass but thats not really saying much there bud.
But what would the connection be?
I think it'll be a soft launch too, but that's why I suppose it could be completely detached from anything else and could essentially happen any (Tues)day at this point...

look at the URL MacRUMORS! Its not Macthatareallconfirmed! go to the applestore if you want to see Macs that are released
Even in July, a simple refresh would have been "late". Yes, they were probably waiting for Nvidia, but they still could have pursued other options if they wanted to get a simple refresh out.
I don't expect a radical new design, but I do think the screen issues hint at other, more subtle, design changes.
