As I mentioned in another article why did Apple have to choose Gemini? It’s the worst AI out there. I don’t feel like using it based on that foundation. Can’t they give people the choice like they do with the browser? Gemini would be the last choice on my list. Apple should have got some better intelligence from their customers.
Because in a year or two every AI company will be bankrupt and fold, leaving just Google, Microsoft, and Meta.

Nobody has a business, they have a money furnace they keep shoveling billions of Capex into that will never be recouped, and only these large companies have the cash on hand to weather the complete economic collapse this ******** shell game will result in.

It’s time to get real about AI.

I just want an assistant that works well in European languages besides English. I was amazed when talking verbally to ChatGPT in Swedish, English and Finnish. It understood each one perfectly even when I jumped between them. And its pronounciation is very good too.

In the past it was almost always that you learned the English phrases instead as you got less issues and misunderstandings.

Would you rather that they partner with ChatGPT? Is that the privacy protecting solution?

Apple is licensing Google AI tech to run in protected Apple servers using Apples Private Cloud Compute OS. That OS has protections built in that prevent data logging and data sharing with Google or anyone. Don’t assume that this is a wide open, Google take all sharing arrangement.
The “privacy protection solution” may very well be a myth. The exact nature of “Apples Private Cloud Compute” has yet to be revealed.

Apples choice to partner with any AI company dilutes and complicates the assurance of privacy. While other major AI players advance, Apple lags far behind playing catch up.

I will reiterate, ChatGPT, Anthropic, etc simply cannot survive the next two years. They do not have a business model, let alone one that can even service the cash burn they go through. Apple is playing smart here.

Apple has already revealed the exact nature of Private Cloud Compute.

Working in tech I exercise due diligence in staying current. Having already read the content you provided, I’d prefer to believe the information it contains is accurate and true.

However healthy skepticism has always served it’s purpose, and the test of time often reveals the real truth.

If indeed it turns out as presented and privacy remains intact I will celebrate being a loyal Apple customer and shareholder.

What will happen to the economy when the bubble bursts?

Yeah wrong choice Apple. Should have went with Claude or chatGPT or something else but the last choice should have been Gemini.

What will happen to the economy when the bubble bursts?
While anything is possible, increasingly as time goes on the likelihood of a major financial disturbance in the sector diminishes.

There will be casualties as with any other high stakes tech development but ai will live on.

Nothing. Nothing at all... business as usual. A few investors will lose their lunch. They'll quickly find other things to invest in and bounce back. Some tech workers will lose their job, only to find other opportunities quickly present themselves. Some of those will find their lives much improved, while those in high level management jobs at AI centric companies may have to go back to the drawing board... but they will bounce back quickly enough, as well.

There will be casualties as with any other high stakes tech development but ai will live on.

And if the people currently selling "AI" are at all smart, they'll quickly rebrand. Calling LLMs AI was an incredibly bold promise, and a marketing blunder that must eventually be realized. Just... not quite yet.

When you promise the entire world and you can really only provide a small moon that quickly blows up when you poke it in the wrong place... Well, eventually, you're going to have to start marketing it as a moon and fix those pesky flaws.

Oh, and we should instead take the word of some old Gallifreyan who won't tell anyone his real name, pretends to have a medical degree and repeatedly gets his friends killed? 😉
Do you know what happens if I say my name? Do you want a time war? Do you want history rewritten? Lay off the friends. Not my fault Bill couldn’t keep her nose out of things and became a Mondasian Cyberman. Adric was too slow on his calculations. Like bust out a calculator or something bud. Whoosh. That planet is coming in hot.

I mean you don’t have to use it. I don’t use Gemini on my Samsung Galaxy s25 ultra. I just wish the companies would focus on different things tho other then AI
I understand you dont have to use it and for right now you can turn it off. But I dont want it running in the background learning from me. I freaking hate AI and I dont want it in everything I own.
