Just finally got off the wait list, was on since the dev betas were released (downloaded it all right away).

This indexing thing is interesting. I've had an M5 iPad Pro plugged into a charger for about 48 hours now on iPadOS27 and it's still going.
I just got it (downloaded the betas as soon as they were released) and both my iPhone and iPad are still indexing. siri’s only like half working for me though, I’m getting “were having trouble” error messages almost at every question except the usual “tell me a story” questions… “what’s the weather like” for example gets me an error message every time i try.

apple has said it can take unto 1-2 weeks for it to finish. across the devices in my house its been very different so far, and I cant really see a pattern as to why - sure there is some basic logic that someone smarter than me could work out.
4pm what time zone? Wondering if it’s based off time of putting yourself in or random because I dl and put on wait list in first 30 mins and still nothing for me

I’m starting to think this is just one big, growing pool. More people jumping in and a decreasing chance any one person will get picked out. Who knows.

Makes sense that xOS 27 Developer Beta would have more takers than before because word has spread how refined xOS 27 are, compared to stable xOS 26.
Got the notification to try Siri about an hour ago after signing up a few hours after the event if I recall.

I received it tonight. Not happy when making phone calls while driving (older vehicle, connected via Bluetooth but no CarPlay). "Hey Siri, call so-and-so." "Are you ready to call?" Why the heck would I not be ready to call when I ask her to call? At one point she asked to unlock my iPhone in order to make the phone call. (sigh)

This guy did some analysis on how eligibility is determined and the Apple Account’s country takes top precedence

My guess is that they’re adding capacity or tweaking capacity to allow the next wave of invitees. I’m still waiting and I signed up day 2 of availability.

I got off the waiting list. Applied about two hours after iOS 27 beta release. In the EU with a US App Store account.
Just proves random I applied within 20 to 30 mins of it being up and all my stuff in US

It seems to be getting more random. installed beta on my oldest child's phone and he had the new Siri beta within 30mins of installing. yet one of my other apple accounts is still waiting several days later

Almost 2.5 days on my end and nothing. I don’t remember the waitlist taking this long with the original rollout of Apple Intelligence.
