Just picked up a sky blue MBA. Excellent! But "sky blue?" Really?? More of a classy blue-tinged sliver grey. So certainly don't be swayed by the (odd?) choice of name! The photos already posted give a good idea, though here is one side-by-side with an earlier silver MBA. As others have noted, the depth of the blue-grey significantly alters with the ambient light. I'm absolutely delighted with the colour.

Thanks for posting this! Was wondering how the Silver and Sky Blue compared.

New Sky Blue 15 vs my old silver M1 13. The silver almost looks like dirty silver and the sky blue like real silver lol.

When you have just natural light coming in from the window it drastically changes the color to more blue.

A few quick pictures below. I'm pretty happy with how blue it is! I was worried it would be barely noticeable from silver but there is a pretty strong blue tint. In strong light it is less obvious, but in lower-moderate light the blue is pretty noticeable. Pics below compare against the space black MBP - you can get an idea for how far it is from silver from the keyboard/XDR stand behind the laptop in the first pic.

Typing this post on it now - very happy so far. Happy MBA day everyone :)

Curious : why you have a MacBook Air if you have a MacBook Pro?

Thanks to everyone who's posting side-by-sides - especially next to Silver. The early promo videos are always under weird "store" lighting that is nothing like my space.

Next to Sky Blue, Silver almost looks like Starlight (that warm look).
And I’d say looking at my second pic, in person it’s a touch darker…it’s very light dependent.

I just went by my local Apple Store to look at this new color. Indeed, next to the silver, it makes the silver look like a warm silver. The blue is very subtle and depending upon the angle and light, it can appear to be silver. These pics really capture what it looked like to me in person.

I do like the color and if I was in the market for a new Air, Sky Blue is the color I'd go with. I usually get silver when I buy MacBooks, but this is a nice change.

iPad Pro is not a Mac. I'm pretty sure he knows what he's doing 😁
Besides that, if you add a keyboard to the iPad Pro, the price becomes twice as much.
I know but I find this more useful than getting an extra MacBook…

I just fancied something more portable for times when I'm just consuming content (or making light edits to photos/videos) - the 16 inch MBP is a monster compared to this thing, nice to have the option :)
I see yes 16 inch is very big… but if you are not bringing it somewhere… then why not a Mac Studio…

The Sky Blue is a chameleon color. I like it because it is no at bright as silver, not as dark as space gray, a nice inbetween. In natural light it looks so high end. The colors are more like this Silver (Bright Silver), Starlight (Warm Silver), Sky Blue (Cool Silver) and Midnight (Midnight lol). The Sky Blue has a very classy look you can't really describe without seeing it in person.
