I bought a surface pro 4, and to be honest, it's a great ultra-light notebook replacement. But as a tablet, it is mediocre at best. But if someone is wanting this as a high-end tablet only, I'd recommend just getting an iPad. Again - Ultralight notebook score: A+. Tablet Score: C.

And in the old days, my teacher would tape the mouths of any students who wouldn't stop talking in class. And if I complained to my parents, they would say "Serves you right for misbehaving in class" and punish me double. These days, you could get suspended just for daring to trim the hair of a student with long hair. Expect a long letter to the ministry if a teacher dares so much as lay a finger on their precious child.

Times are different, expectations are different, and what was once considered acceptable in the past may no longer be valid or relevant today.

haha, you had such a hard childhood then :p

anyway I like the ad, actually it reminds Apple that they mess all their Mac line...:D

Nah, hardly tough. As boys, we would misbehave, and simply for punished for it. And now I am a teacher. Talk about karma.

I have a 128GB, i5, 4GB RAM, Surface Pro3. I like it for the most part but there are definitely things that annoy the crap out of me.

Battery life
Mandatory OS updates for Win10
Stability
Battery life (yes this is a big annoyance)

I am looking forward to purchasing a MacBook Air 13" model with 128GB, 8GB RAM.

I use my Surface to watch movies, homework, work I bring home but hate being attached to a power cord. Looking forward to the Mac.

For the record, I have a Mac Mini that I use as well since 2013 and have never had a problem with it. Runs 24/7.

I'm just gonna go ahead and say it... Surface Pro 4 is possibly the best portable device I've ever used. This is from someone who has used Apple products exclusively since the early 2000's. The Surface is also the first Windows device purchased since and I absolutely love it.

I've been with Apple for such a long time because they simply make the best hardware and software out there. But I'll give Microsoft credit where credit is due. I am so impressed by the Surface Pro 4 that I've decided to try the Lumia 950XL and hopefully soon the Surface Phone.

Again, love Apple and don't see myself moving away from the ecosystem all together but the Surface is simply fantastic and Windows 10 is equally awesome and well, very OS X like. It's a pleasure to use.

Honestly, I'd suggest holding off on grabbing a Windows Phone. What's there is pretty alright (key phrase here being pretty alright), but it barely has any developer support, and almost no new hardware on the horizon. Even MS only seems to be working on it as a hobby project these days, rather than a major focus.

It's possible that the rumored Surface Phone might change things for the platform, but it's a long shot. For now, your best bet is to wait and see how it all goes down over the next year or so.

What??! 5 year old hardware sold for almost the same price as 5 years ago is fine in your eyes?? In the tech world 6 months old hardware is considered old. Apple should do these spec bumps every year to justify those prices! What do you expect? A spec bump is all we need! What else should there be? A new designed outer shell every two years? Screw that, give us a faster CPU, GPU and bigger SSDs every year!

What five year old tech are they selling?

MacBook Pro was released 2012. Four years not five, my bad. But hey you get my point. This is 4 years old technology! Years! This is awful...

MacBook Pro is not using four year old technology. It's using two year old technology. Or 1 year if you're talking about the 13 inch.
