is it just me or did anyone else raise an eye brow when the narrator said he could grasp it edge to edge with one hand.

They said the same thing about the mini, and I can barely fit it one hand.

So torn! iPad Mini (assuming it has Retina) or iPad 5 gahhhhhhh

How the heck am I going to decide between the two! Gr...

This will be my first iPad purchase and if I'm honest I can't wait. Roll on October!

I sure hope its October!

hopefully this will launch alongside the "brighten up your day" event :D

If only...

I am torn between the mini 2 and 5 as well. For me it's all about weight. The iPad 2 came in at 600g while the mini is 300g. If the 5 can come in somewhere in the middle I'll probably go for that. 400g and I'd be thrilled.

Also, I wish that the bezels on the other sides were shaved down as well. These are the sides you hold it in landscape mode and with the bezels the length they are now it's hard for your thumbs to reach the entire keyboard.

Interesting how many people have the problem choosing... such a pain haha

The thinner edges on the iPad mini were possible because you can hold your hand behind and grip both edges.

This won't be possible on a 10" iPad except for massive-handed-people, so losing the edge is going to make this thing hard to hold without having your fingers on the screen.

I had similar concerns, but it looks like they've still kept a bit more bezel here than the mini. I think it'll be alright.

To be honest, I am more excited about the rear shell of ipad mini in the end of the video. I am applauding Apple for the ipad 5's new thinner bezel design and I am sure it will weigh so much less than the current heavyweight ipad 4, but I personally still find the 10" screen too big to be used comfortably for every day tasks, so really looking forward to the new ipad mini retina :)

My main question is weight more then thinner bezel. The iPad 4 is heavy and you can't really hold it like a book or magazine for any considerable time without your hands getting tired, and I have big hands

Not sure why everyone gets excited on leaked iPad parts, they all seem to look the same. It's like "oh alleged rear shell of new iPad". Of course I'm like "who cares". Not all that exciting. Let's see something new for a change. Not just upgraded internals. I do appreciate that it's the best tablet in the market (IMO), but come on give us something revolutionary. Think Different :apple:

I wasn't remotely tempted to upgrade my iPad 3 to an iPad 4. (In fact, it was just the opposite due to iOS 6 and the new Lightning connector.) That said, I have to admit that the narrower design of the iPad 5 is very tempting. I may just have to pull the trigger.

I do wish Apple would update the Speakers on all their devices - the speaker quality on the MBP, iMac, iPad and iPhone are horrendous.

I'm surprised more people don't complain about the speakers, because it's such an obvious shortcoming. My Ipad2 speaker volume is much too low. If the audio is improved enough, it will my reason to buy the 5.

No stereo speakers for landscape-view media (like movies/music videos). Totally lame. :(

Yeah. Because speakers in a thin, small device are going to be worthwhile for reproducing music and big movie sound, especially in public transport or on the street. Why bother with the big stuff in theaters and at home?
The term lame comes to mind, not sure why....
