Not to knock theApple Watch 2 before it comes out, but the latest Samsung watch is gonna have LTE...and their phones already have OLED screens. Apple is falling behind.

So this, watch bands, and watchOS are going to take up 95% of Wednesday's keynote, and they'll finish with "oh yeah, we made a "new" phone and version of iOS. Goodnight everybody!"

I've wanted to get an Apple watch for some time now, but without MacBook updates I am not about to take the risk and get more entrenched in Apple's ecosystem.

That goes for replacing our iPhones, both the wife and I need to get new phones. However, we both work a lot with our MacBooks and without updates to the MacBook we won't upgrade our iPhones because if we have to switch to non-Apple laptop then we won't need or use iPhones, as painful as that will be.

Buying products is to us the same as voting. If Apple does not want us as customers, as signaled by dropping products we need and want, then we don't need Apple. The difference between Apple and competitors today is less that any other time in history and it is only getting smaller.

I've only seen the Apple watch in stores a couple of times and so far I've probably seen half a dozen in the wild. Never have I thought that it was too thick or too big. My Tissot automatic is thicker and bulkier. I believe it even weighs about 2x what the 42mm stainless Apple watch with link bracelet.

Extra battery life is a welcome addition. Even if it's canceled out by GPS(if that's a feature they've added).

I used to really want a mini iPhone on my wrist but after a year and a half I am starting to think now its all just too much....

The design and simplicity of this has really caught my eye:

Until we see real world battery usage, I wouldnt praise on how great Samsung watch is going to be with LTE. Also how many people are willing to pay for another cellular subscription.

The question is - are there going to be any surprises or we have all the info

I hope there is, or else the fitbit charger 2 looks quite good when you compare the price. Or else I'm not sure why someone would spend more than twice as much for something that isn't that useful.

For the iphone, I really think there is a hidden feature or it will only be speed bumps and "no headphone jack".

While I like my watch in different ways ... I just don't see a reason to buy another, even to replace this one if it breaks. I guess the novelty has worn off.

Article should say, "former" Apple certified reseller. Once Apple finds out about this they're going to let the lawyers loose!

I am on board with watch getting thinner and lighter. I wonder if they will ever pull off a circular display.
Circles? Jonny has limited experience with circles. The G4 iMac base was....well a half circle. He put a circle on the iPod touch...but changed his mind about that. The iBook yoyo adapter was a circle...but he added an odd plug to the bottom. He also wants the home button...the circular home button gone............ I think he has a fear of circles.

I just want acceptable performance. That's the big one for me.

Battery life could be better, and I like the idea of a display where the buttons don't look so deep, and I can see how the market might respond to having BOTH square and round versions (I confess, if it weren't so big, the Gear 3s do catch my eye). But really the only thing I absolutely must have is an OS that doesn't make me wait 15 seconds every time I do something.

"Siri, remind me to update the grocery list when I get home."
Wait.
Wait. Look at iPhone to make sure it's still only 6 inches away from the watch.
Wait.
Wait some more.
Twiddle thumbs.
Get my phone out.
Unlock it.
Launch Siri.
"Siri, remind me to update the grocery list when I get home."

<Cashier presses Credit key>
<double-tap Apple Pay button on the watch>
Wait.
Wait.
Wait longer.
Look at the cashier like it's their system's fault.
Pay and apologize to the angry mob behind me before I get stoned. Well, tomatoed.
Lines I actually heard: "Wouldn't it have been faster to use a credit card?" and "That would be cool if it worked."

Normally it's fast, but when it's not it's humiliating. Now I activate it ahead of time to avoid the embarrassment.

Finally, apps. Just about any app that has to proxy through the phone is horribly painful to use. I remember when a big industry player released an app, and I wanted to show our employees. I displayed the device on our conference room projector via AirPlay (cool!) but then couldn't get the app to do much of anything. Constant spinners. The iPhone version worked incredibly fast.

I only have about 5 third-party apps on the watch, and have tried wiping and setting it up as a new watch. Same horrible performance. Thankfully they're going to improve performance a lot in watchOS 3.

You're forgetting about the Mac Pro. Perhaps the round model will be the Watch Pro. ;-)
