Am I the only one who thinks that's a really broad, imprecise range? Like, if I get a bunch of friends together to gang up on a Mac to use Beeper Mini, am I gonna be OK at 11? 12? Will I crap out before I hit 18? If I want to split the cost of a new Mac, am I dividing by 10 or by 20...and what do you mean I won't know until I buy it and try?

I suspect Apple's tolerance before an account or a Mac is flagged isn't based solely on the number of accounts registered on a single Mac. They probably combine that with other variables - resulting in a tolerated range. Simple approach for anyone who chooses to engage in this practice would be to stick to the lower end of that range.

The thing I do not get is why are so many iphone users in here saying to use 3rd party apps if android users want to communicate with iphone users. All android users are asking for is to have a seamless experience of being able to text iphone users via the imessage system without the convoluted need to use 3rd party apps or to go through numerous phone settings. It should be a simple case of an android user adding the contact of an iphone user (mum/dad, grandparents, siblings, other family members and friends) and then be able to start text messaging them, sending photo's and videos where needed but they cannot due to reasons mentioned. Why are iphone users/Apple fans in here so objectionable for that seamless operation to happen?.

Because iMessage is an apple thing. I don’t feel obligated to other platforms features that are made for them.

More importantly this is annoying as an apple user because how do I know if I am talking to
An apple user or a fraud?

I use Apple Pay. Apple Music suggestions. Check in. And other apple specific things. This essentially fragments iMessage and fragmentation is something that is common in android. Not iOS.

Android fanatics brag about how open android is and how better and the choice of the platform. Then they can choose to use one of the many cross platform apps. Aka what 3/4 of the wmost elf are using.

Not sure why Beeper Mini is so desperate. In a few months, their app will be completely irrelevant.
Investors.

If this project had remained as a hobbyist/free app (Like Hackintoshing) rather than a commercial product based on Apple Technology (Like Psystar) this might have flown under the radar indefinitely.

Shouting how you found a backdoor from the rooftops and then charging folk for access was probably not a good idea.

If you have a Mac it is comon to buy iPhone. I still could not believe Android developers whant to be part of iMessage where whatsapp, viber and co exist.

I agree. I'm very glad Aplple implemented iMessage verification. I turned it on.

Better idea, buy any of the thousand android devices released just this year.

As I said, I own both. I have a 13 Pro and a Pixel 8. I don't really like the Android way of doing things, other than the side loading and being able to change the default messaging app.

I also have a SE 2022, but that is company issued.

jail tim cook until they stop their anticompetitive measures.

How is this anti-competitive? Blocking WhatsApp and Telegram would be anti-competitive. Not porting over something to benefit your competitor isn’t anti-competitive. Otherwise let’s force NVIDIA and AMD to work together so that AMD cards have CUDA.

What people like you are complaining about is no product should have benefits over another product. That is just insane.

Also people make this whole “blue bubbles” a mountain out of a molehill. I text with Android users daily. Even share media. It performs just fine.
