Yeah, I do. I actually gave the Pros a try but wasn't a fan of the in-ear experience. I do prefer that when I'm out running or working out (I have earbuds just for that) but for my regular AirPod use I prefer the non-Pro design and feel.
Which kind of earbuds do you use for your sports?

I would not want to be the person, from Apple, that had to walk out on a stage and say 'We misjudged demand, and won't have AirPod II's for everyone that wants one.' The knives, spears, and clubs would be brandished and there would be great gnashing of teeth. I'm sure these are going to sell faster than, well, I can't think of anything that could sell that fast... *POOF* They be GONE!!!

EDIT: Double stuff Oreo's! They were on national back order when they came out. Oh, Combo's. People were buying CASES of them. A friend drove nearly 100 miles to buy cases of them, and take them back, and sold many of them because they weren't yet available there.

But I'd still think the AirPod II will sell faster. (How are the Beats Studio Buds selling? I have been so surprised with how well those have worked)

The only thing I was looking forward to. Need them for wfh and taking calls. In-ears aren’t comfortable for me to wear all day. I feel like buying knock-offs now tbh.
Don’t do it.

If you’ve never experienced the real AirPods, then they are worth waiting for. The thing you will want to find out the most, is in terms of the actual fit in your ear. The simplicity and ease is amazing with this device. I would caution to not purchase any third parties or ‘look alike’ AirPods, as you won’t even see the same build quality, let alone the audio will be significantly off, with skewed treble and choppy bass.

Dude/dudette. check out the Beats Studio Buds. Seriously. At least, possibly as just a carry over. They really surprised me. They fit differently than the AirPods, and the noise cancellation is really quite good. Give them a try. You might be surprised.

The biggest issue is they don't wirelessly charge, but I can overlook that issue because of how well they work. And half the price of the AirPods Pro.

I need new AirPods bad, I can’t wait more than a few months otherwise I’ll have to get the pros, but I hate silicone eartip earbuds, so uncomfortable in the ear

I tried all the inear apple products and all either didn’t stay in during physical activity, or they caused too much pressure in my ear for prolonged comfy wear. And I missed the AirPod side double tap to change songs. The secret is to buy the $10 rubber earwings with the ear nub tip built in. They do not fit too tightly in the ear but yet block out some outside noise and increase the bass tremendously although they do take a little bit off the high end. But the increased base makes them all worthwhile and of course they stay in your ear during runs. the perfect solution to make regular AirPods fit and sound almost the same as AirPod pros without the ear pressure.

I get the sense they will be announced with the Macs. The Back to School promotion gives free AirPods and while they could have just kept it as getting the old AirPods, they may feel it makes more sense to release these after that promotion ends.

Yeah, but 'consistency'... What would they have to do with iMacs? They would likely be used less with iMacs than iOS devices. But they will do what they do, when they want to do it. Seeing their own products and capabilities, these new AirPods certainly have a high bar, in MY mind, to clear. Just being 'new' isn't quite enough this time.

The only thing I legitimately need that wasn't announced at yesterday's event. Though I'm steadily building a case for "needing" a new iPad mini.
Oh yeah. Same here. They FINALLY come out with the iPad Mini upgrade we should’ve had with the last iteration; but one week ago, I shelled out for the Mac Pro 11” AND the magic keyboard. Hell, I want both. If the timing were reversed… now I’m thinking I should return the… pffft.

I really really hope there are no silicone eartips. I'm one of the apparently few people who can't use earbuds that plug up my ear canal; I'm super sensitive to the pressure differential and it causes a lot of pain.

Airpods have been a complete godsend for me in terms of being both very high quality and not having plug-in tips like 90% of the quality earbuds on the market. If they move to silicone I'll just have to hoard a bunch of the current airpods.
