Anybody else notice that we have not seen any parts for iPad mini? Makes me think the reports of a September launch for iPad mini are off by at least one month.

Or these iPhone parts are fake or deliberate leaks by apple. IIRC there were essentially no iPad 1 leaks. There seems to be some genuine secrecy around 1st gen products coming from Apple. They may be looser with successive generation products to prevent those who are waiting from straying.

Enough

I have to laugh at these sites that are always leaking these case/components stories like they're news.

Chill out, you will get your shiny new bobble-gadget soon enough...

It definitely has a more pleasing sound on a table than the earlier iPhones, but I leave my iPhone on vibrate-only at almost all times and I find myself missing a lot more calls with my 4S in my pocket than I did before with the harsher vibration.

I do miss an occasional text message, but rarely phone calls. I think it was pretty much the same way with my 3GS.

When I'm in a meeting I usually take my phone out of my pocket and set it on the table. With my 3GS, any text, call or email would buzz so the whole room heard it which is a little distracting. That's what I like about the 4S. The silent mode is just a bit more silent.

Cool. Glad you could take the time to read this non-news story and display your apathy by taking the time to write how you don't care and you don't think it's news. While you're at it, could you tell me how you feel about the Kardashians?

God, I hope the vibration motor doesn't get any weaker, it's on the low end in my iPhone 4.

Geeez. Tim is going to present this phone for the first time and everyone will just stare at it like "we know Tim".

We went through the same song and dace two years ago after the Gizmodo leak. Jobs handled it like a boss in the keynote:

"The all new design. Now stop me if you've already seen this. (laughter from audience) Believe me. You ain't seen it. You've got to see this thing in person. It is one of the most beautiful designs you've ever seen."

Tim Cook can basically repeat that verbatim.

Also Jobs was right. The iPhone 4/4S design really feels and looks much better in person than when pictured. The feeling of a premium device still hasn't been matched by any other phone, IMHO.

All I know is that I truly pity the once-great Bruce Jenner for becoming trapped in that useless, trash-hawking clan's web of stupid. Anything else?:p

I actually like the way the 4S vibrates compared to earlier versions. It's not as obnoxious when sitting on a table and it vibrates.
Yeah, but it's too soft, sometimes when i'm walking i can't feel it. :D

Where? When? By who?

I think I gotta take that back. There was a photo posted of a battery but when I looked back into it, the source was 1 year old and it was the 4S - back then to be thought of as the "iPhone 5." What happened was that - and this happened recently - someone re-posed the photo in one of the leaks threads at MR claiming it was the new battery but it wasn't.

Thought so :) The battery would be very telling because it should be taller and thinner if the rumors are true.

I agree. I just don't see Apple announcing the new iPhone and the iPad mini (if it exists) in the same launch. Apple likes to have one big thing to push and I just don't see them doing both at the same time. Announcing the mini at the same time as the iPhone would dilute the excitement of the new iPhone and Apple is expecting the new iPhone to be the biggest seller ever. Plus I really think if there was going to be a new iPad mini, we would be seeing more leaks. I predict we'll see the mini introduced in late October just in time for Christmas sales. But I'm not fully convinced yet we will see a mini, as much as I'd like to have one.

I do hope even tho its pretty thin that there is a decent battery in there, phone companies think we want to have a razor thin phone with crap battery life these days for some reason

If the leaked battery part is real, there is no significant change in the battery capacity. Perhaps the display and the processor have been made mode efficient? Otherwise battery life probably won't change much.
