I agree. I just don't see Apple announcing the new iPhone and the iPad mini (if it exists) in the same launch. Apple likes to have one big thing to push and I just don't see them doing both at the same time. Announcing the mini at the same time as the iPhone would dilute the excitement of the new iPhone and Apple is expecting the new iPhone to be the biggest seller ever. Plus I really think if there was going to be a new iPad mini, we would be seeing more leaks. I predict we'll see the mini introduced in late October just in time for Christmas sales. But I'm not fully convinced yet we will see a mini, as much as I'd like to have one.

That is what I was thinking, though I was leaning toward the mini (if it exists) being released along side the 4th gen iPad. The rumors of the mini are funny to me. I remember all these rumors of the iPhone nano forever ago... Then when the large screen fad started the rumors switched to bigger iPhone screens. So maybe we'll never see a mini and in a few years people will be critisizing the iPad for having a small screen.

It really does make you think....the number of leaks is either ridiculous, especially in the face of Tim Cook claiming a doubling down of secrecy, or the number of leaks are indicative of intentional misdirection. I personally think we are seeing the real thing, but still. Geeez. Tim is going to present this phone for the first time and everyone will just stare at it like "we know Tim".

Steve called it "premature specification."

Indeed, there will probably not even be one member of the audience at the launch that has not seen all these links.

As Tim will know everyone watching him has already seen it, I wonder if he will just pretend that they have not, or make remarks that means he knows everyone there already knows what it looks like.

Unless of course it's totally different (which if getting harder be believe almost every day)

I actually like the way the 4S vibrates compared to earlier versions. It's not as obnoxious when sitting on a table and it vibrates.

Really?

My 4s vibrates like a pig compared to my old 4, or my wifes 4. If I sit it wrong on my desk at work, it gives me a fright with the volume of the burrrrrr
