lol, remove a feature and next model put it back and call it "innovation" oder "update" and hope that there are enough stupid people who buy it again. The almost same strategy they do with any product.

Would be awesome! I bet it will have the same camera as the iPod touch. Then video playback would return to the nano

Nobody called it innovation but you.And you're right,it would be stupid to.

What are the chances that Apple will put a camera in the front aswell. FaceTime from the Nano.

You can FaceTime on a run, in the gym, secretly under the desk in school.

This changes everything. Again.

You beat me to it. :D

They can polish that turd as much as they want, but it still stinks.

The nano went wrong when they reduced the size and castrated the function. Only if they drastically reduce the price will it be something worth considering.

Even if this is fake, or a design that may not see the light of day, did anyone notice the screws are those special pintabular apple only screws. Getting these screws and doing this hole thing is a lot of work for a prank.

The touch Nano is a cool gadget that I have absolutely no need for and don’t even know why I want one.

What better to add than a cool feature I have absolutely no need for and don’t even know why I want it?

Oh. Mygod. You're kidding me. Just got a new iPod-third in two years-and I think, "Okay, I'll wait awhile for my next one. Too bad this doesn't have a camera, though..." then my iPod's screen breaks (though is still usable) and this gets posted. I'd appreciate it if Apple slowed down a bit with the whole yearly-updates-to-EVERYTHING thing.

EDIT: The nano is cool, though stupid, yes. Dang... why DID I buy one? I hope they reduce the price. Then THAT'LL be my last iPod for awhile. For reals this time. I've said it once, I'll say it again: when it comes to Apple, love the products, hate the people behind 'em. Stupid Reality Distortion Field. This post was really ranting, no?

How about a rumor of bringing back the click wheel...? That's one of the reasons why I bought an iPod nano back in 2009: it was heck of a lot better than my old Sandisk Sansa.

You can't shoot while you're wearing it
There goes the iWatch option
But still, this little thing is incredibly cute
I wish Apple could add more functionalities
and also round off the external casing to
match the LCD round corners...

I'd rather Apple hide tactile buttons under the sides of the screen to restore the tactile functions of the Click Wheel. Click Screen, anyone? Far more useful than a camera.

Someone has a hard-on in Apple for miniaturisation whilst cramming in even more functionality - sometimes even if it isn't worth it.

On a tiny 240x240 display, you can't really view much in the way of video, which is what Apple will use this camera for. So you'll get a tiny preview (with touch actions to play, stop, ffw, etc), and only really get to play with the video once you've synced it to your computer (or your iPad?).

Still, if this is available in 16GB for a reasonable price ...

I almost forgot we still had the ipod nano
on another note -
I just got 4g service today and my dowloads are 4 times as fast - yay

dude, every tech manufacturer brings out a new model each year.
there's nothing unusual about it. Why do people get so upset with Apple ?
Every car manufacturer has their 2010 and 2011 models.

I just don't get the complaining.

I'm curious to know who Apple thinks their target audience is for the nano. Do we really need another camera? GPS would really add value to a product like this. Unfortunately, it seems as though Apple has lost all competition in the PMP market. Hopefully their answer for an update of the nano isnt "hey...lets throw a crappy camera on it". I think I've seen that somewhere else before...

I hope Apple gives the next Nano many of the features found in the Sony Ericsson Live View device.

GPS with a battery the size of the one in the nano? Come on, think a little.

I don't get it, why does everything HAVE to have a camera these days. I hope this isn't real, they need to go back to the previous generation Nano design. I tried the new one in store and the screen size is just too small for a touch interface.
