Next-Generation iPod Nano to Add Rear-Facing Camera?

Yes! I also agree BT is the most glaring omission from the Nano as a wireless headphone would make a lot of sense for it. If they do add it, I wonder if Apple will make BT headphones too?
All I gotta say is if they make the battery smaller and last even less long, boo.
I never used the camera on the fifth gen, not practical, and it sure isn't worth the less battery life (my one complaint about my sixth gen nano is I have no clue how they claim 24 hour battery life, it's significantly shorter than my third gen was and I think still shorter than my fifth gen's battery. My third gen had an awesome battery though... went all weekend on a motorcycle trip and never had to charge it. 2 hours of use on my motorcycle helmet with my sixth gen and it's done. I don't even trust it enough that I bring my fifth gen on cross country flights in case it runs out).
For those wanting blue tooth, do you realize with current battery how much shorter battery life you'd have on your nano with that?!

Only if there is a designated button for taking pictures will I maybe like this. It's too small to control and aim with simply one finger. It's for convenience, not for extraneous uses.
They should put a camera in the magic mouse too

I'm still putting money on Apple widening the screen to match the 5g's aspect ratio and be able to play videos...
I've had many iPod's since they came out and finally the 6th gen Nano was exactly what I wanted. Small form factor like the shuffle with the ease of a touchscreen over a clickwheel made it perfect for long runs and work outs in general. I suppose if people want a camera then so be it though I think for this size of a unit it's kind of silly.
I'll stick with my generation 6. It's perfect for what I need and all I need is a small music player. If this is true it further proves that Apple simply withholds features so they can entice folks into re-buying what they essentially bought the year before.

camera on the Nano = bad idea. Useless and what if your gym like mine forbids camera devices in the locker room. There is just no need for a camera on something like this.
Whoa, sounds like a strict gym! If you can't lock away your camera devices i.e cam-phones, where are you supposed to put them? assuming its probably forbidden to carry them in the gym too...
curious.seriously, what kind of gyms do you guys go to, where it seems you're strip searched...
anyway, back on topic.. Camera in current form Nano = unnecessary feature imo.

That's a good point. I guess it's just that you obviously aren't going to buy a new car every time they come out with a new one, but you know, time passes quickly, and you feel like you just spent $150 on this shiny new thing from Apple and then it's not shiny and new anymore and the newest shiny new thing is half as much as yours was and it does five times as much and you feel like you've been gypped. Maybe it's because Apple makes a bigger deal out of each release...?
