More storage space!

This is all I really want. Some people are power users. I am a "power hoarder". I've purchased literally thousands of comic books through Comixology (and it's related apps). I like having all of them ready to read when I like, rather than find out that the book I want to read is in the cloud, and that I have to download it. (Believe it or not, there are frequent intervals in my day when I don't have ready access to wifi.)

If someone told me today that the next iPad would have 256 GB of storage, I'd tough it out for a few months. As it is, I'm on the verge of buying a second 128 GB iPad, just so that I can have all my comic books with me wherever I am.

Say that to the ' Pro's ' , they laugh at you.
And, I agree with them, a viewfinder is much better than viewing it on a LCD Display.
Try making a good photo in full sunlight with any LCD Display.
That's the limitation of the LCD technology, not the issue with the form factor. Guess what pros do in studios? They tether their cameras to a computer so they have the computer's screen as their viewfinder.

My number one desire for the new iPad is definitely 2GB RAM!

iPad RAM - 256MB
iPad 2 RAM - 512MB
iPad 3 RAM - 1GB
iPad 4 RAM - 1GB
iPad Air RAM - 1GB
....I really hope that the 'iPad Air 2/Pro' gets 2GB RAM, especially if there might be an A7X/A8 chip equipped.

My number two desire for the new iPad is an increase in the minimum storage--I want at least 32GB storage space....my 16GB iPad 2 is a constant deleting/downloading factory; apps are getting huge and much more elaborate now that many developers have gotten used to iOS and are exploring their potential. Even if the new iPad gets the 2GB RAM and not the upgrade in minimal storage, I'm STILL DEFINITELY buying!

...Best case scenario:
'iPad Air 2/iPad Air Pro' gets the A7X/A8 chip + upgraded to 2GB RAM + 32GB minimum storage capacity.

...Worse case scenario would be:
'iPad Air 2/iPad Air Pro' being equipped with an A7X chip + not getting the upgrade in RAM and storage while the later rumored 'iPad MAXI' gets the A8 chip + upgrade in RAM and storage.

Displays for Apple's next-generation iPad Air are set to begin production this month, reports Korean site ETNews [Google Translation] (via AmongTech), with other major parts such as the camera module also set to enter production soon.

Apple's second iPad Air is expected to continue to feature the same featherweight design introduced with the first iPad Air, using the same 9.7-inch Retina LCD with a resolution of 2048 x 1536. LG Display will begin production on the displays in June, with Samsung and Sharp ramping up production next month.

Though the next-generation iPad Air will not see any design changes, it may see some hardware improvements in the form of an upgraded 8-megapixel rear camera, an improvement over the current 5-megapixel camera. It may incorporate the same 8-megapixel camera used in the iPhone 5s, which also includes a larger sensor for improved low-light performance. iOS 8 will also bring photography updates to both Apple's existing and next-generation iPad Airs, in the form of new panoramic and time-lapse modes.

Along with a better camera, the iPad Air is unsurprisingly expected to include an upgraded A8 processor to improve both performance and battery life and the Touch ID fingerprint sensor first introduced with the iPhone 5s.

It is unclear when Apple plans to release its second-generation iPad Air, but rumors have pointed towards a release in September or October, which would be in line with previous iPad releases. Apple's Retina iPad mini is expected to be updated at the same time, featuring many of the same improvements.

I'm with everyone else. This seems obvious. Camera bumps are a little surprising. But A8 is expected, TouchID is expected.

2GB of RAM is hoped for, of course. I'm also hoping that the A8 is quad-core; Apple has already shown that the A7 wins in single-core performance out of all the ARM processors in all currnetly shipping phones and tablets; now they just need to match on cores so they'll win in multi-core performance as well.

Though being that I just (January) got an iPad Air to replace my first generation iPad and that I don't plan on upgrading my full-sized iPad for another two and a half years at minimum, I sorta don't care about this next iPad Air. This next iPad mini, on the other hand... Let's just say I'm hoping that what is forthcoming for the next iPad Air is also forthcoming for the next iPad mini as well; will be looking to upgrade from my first generation model for sure.
