Uh, isn't the world in 3D? I mean, we do see in three dimensions, correct? Is this a clever way of saying you are blind?
Yes you see the world in three dimensions.
I only see it in two.
Kind of how you see non 3D movies.

I reaaally don't think Apple will implement this. It goes against everything they stand for.
-Apple likes ergonomic, comfortable experiences. 3D gives people headaches
-Apple hates styluses and other mandatory accessories. In most implementations of 3D, you have to wear glasses
-Apple is moving toward high-resolution displays. In many implementations, 3D halves the effective resolution
-Apple is all about content - high quality software, UI, etc. 3D encourages gimmicks
Likely?-Apple's mobiles have standard-setting battery life. 3D will likely drain batteries - by doubling the rendering requirement, increasing the required backlighting, or by keeping a camera active to track your head.
Unnecessary to who? The only person who cares is the apple boss who signs off the spec in the hopes it will make apple more profit. A touch screened ipod nano is a poiinless spec, but somebody signed if off for production."3D" screams of unnecessary spec. There are so many drawbacks and so few benefits. If Apple has yet to implement Blu-ray, it will definitely be awhile before we see 3D.
I checked out the 3DS at a Target and felt the 3D effect was cheesy. It reminded me of a magic eye effect, or a hologram baseball card. I did read about the "sweet spot", but that seems really tedious to have to keep a handheld at just the right angle at all times.
Or only has one eye![]()
every year a new igadget comes out, adn the forums are full of "apple will never produce that *insert complaint* monstrocity, it goes against everything that apple stands for
People spend their lives looking at the world in 3d, so perhaps you should be a bit more specific aboiut the implementation of 3d may cause headaches. Now how does that assumption align to glasses free 3d?
Most is a magical word, which is why there is another set of words like glasses-free that is important
best of both worlds
apple thrives of gimmicks, as longas they have tangible value
Likely?

iPad 3 - iPad 3D
iPad 3D.
You heard it here first folks.
no, this will not happen. RCR is looking for publicity.
Apple saw the Blu Ray failure coming, so they didn't use Blu Ray. Can't they see that 3D has ALREADY failed?
3D movies and stuff were "popular" a while back, but not so much now. The 3D TV is a failure. I can't even see any uses for 3D on an iPad except for the occassional 3D movie, but I personally hate them because of the headaches, and I'm sure a lot of people do too.
What? Blu Ray failed? When?![]()
Are you kidding? Netflix destroyed it with streaming. Disney and Sony aren't even advertising for it anymore. The Blu Ray players are being sold dirt cheap at clearance sales because it's a dying/dead format.
And I never liked it anyway, the 25 GB disc wasn't filled all the way because of the stupidly lossy compression, and it was expensive.

Maybe, but up here in Canada we have to pay through the roof for bandwidth so Netflix is kind of lame. I don't think all the players are being sold that cheap there are just more companies making cheap ones for the masses. I personally like Blu Ray for the quality that Netflix can't offer.
However, I could be wrong does Netflix deliver 1080P?
I don't get the "3D" screen thing???? My regular 1080p TV can play a 3d Movie just fine. The 3D software shared here on MacRumors didn't have any special screen... what the heck would Apple do to make it a 3D screen?
I say "false".
