I don't need you to tell me what forum is right for me. You probably would not like it either, if I tell you what forum you should go to, or where should you go at all? I've owned dozens of Apple products and still do and I own AAPL stock for now: that is why I am here. But, unlike to others, Apple is not a religion to me: the iPhone does not work for me anymore and I am not happy with the direction Apple is taking. Apple achieves high sales/margins using marketing hype, sweatshop labor and litigation rather than focus on delivering best products. Apple is fat, lazy and stagnant.

Again, it is your ridiculous excuse, that Apple could not deliver the LTE iphone because others could not achieve great battery life. I thought the iPhone suppose to be premium and innovative device, unlike others? Why would you set the "horrible android battery life" as a standard for the premium and "innovative" iphone? The answer is simple: because the iphone is no longer premium and innovative, but quite opposite. And the 4" iphone 5 is already obsolete on arrival.

Lol seems like Apple is a religion to you not me!!
You've owned dozens of apple products, you seem passionate on why you dislike apple and where it's going....and here I am just ****in around pushing your buttons to piss you off :) lol

You gave yourself too much credit. You are trying to please yourself: there is a word for that

This. Created an account with macrumors just so I could give kudos to this guy.

Ha, cheers. You didnt have too, thought it was common knowledge tho, lte didnt meet the requirements to be called 4g until the marketing guys got to it. The fact hspa+ has been marketed as 4g(by some) is the biggest joke tho.

sigh... not w/ the same power consumption. I like LTE, just don't love how much battery it sucks out of the current devices. Android LTE phones are like buying a car that can run really fast, but you have to stop every 1/4 mile to fill it up w/ gas.

I had no problems with LTE so far on my Galaxy Nexus, it has similar battery life to my iPhone 4S.

Welcome to the future, iSheep!

Seriously? Grow up.

LTE is not remotely global... And won't be for Years Why the hell would I buy into a Technology I can only use in major cities.

I'd rather have a 3g that depreciates to 2g.

Give it 5 years and things might change. But until I can get coverage in the highlands of scotland, Africa (anywhere) or india - LTE is not a option.

Also love how no-one talka bout how much the carriers chage for Data. I am on an unlimited data tarriff - 600 mins and unlimited txt for £20 a month. and I am not changing it as it's only limited 1gb a month these days... LTE could tear though that in a day

The Samsung Galaxy Note LTE (which I also mentioned in my previous post) was released last year, not this year.

Your excuse for iPhone not having LTE cause android LTE phones have "horrible battery life", which is a ridiculous excuse. Why did not Apple release LTE iphone last year with good battery life? Why Samsung could deliver?

- copy/paste -
Oh dear. It wasn't in the first OS release. So what. They did it right and Android was complete **** for 2.1 versions
- multitasking
A lot of Android apps that have poor Multitasking code Kill the battery.
- notifications
There were always notifications - Android Stole palm's - Apple hired the guy that made it
- voice control
er what?
- dual/quad core
Again? all the Chips are designed by Arm. When the release cycle comes around they are updated to the most recent architecture.
- 2GB RAM
As a Developer on android and iOS - more Ram would be nice but iOS is way more efficient with it.
- widgets
One of 2 points I do complete agree with.
- USB storage, SD storage
Not needed. Cloud.
- LTE
In a few years... pointless if you go to other countries a lot.
- NFC
Not heard of a good reason for it yet.
- Large screen
Iphone - incredible screen. I don't want a feckin' tablet in my pocket. Even my android phone is a small screen. We spent the last 20 years making hones smaller and now people are carrying stupid galaxy notes! to make a
- OLED
The other point I agree with.

Samsung did not deliver... They just have a stupidly large phone with a stupidly large battery... My Car could have awesome LTE battery life.

The Reason for not having LTE is it only works in a very limited amount of countries and Cities. Clearly you don't get out much.

China Mobile 's network

What are the odds that the iPhone 5 will be compatible with China Mobile's proprietary TD-SCDMA 3G network?

Its funny how LTE matters now, despite Android having it for a year and a half.

LTE is actually somewhat relevant now (mainly on Verizon) because they have many towers to support it. All other carrier's customers are pretty much shafted on LTE until 2013 or whenever they decide to actually deploy the tech

A year and a half ago I worked with a Phandroid who would brag and brag about how his 4G LTE Android was the fastest phone on the market this that and the other thing. Unfortunately he didn't know in Tampa, there was no LTE tower at the time. And his 4G LTE Phone actually had much lower down/up speeds then my "3G old ****** technology" iPhone.

What are the odds that the iPhone 5 will be compatible with China Mobile's proprietary TD-SCDMA 3G network?

The MDM9615, the cellular radio rumored to be in the next iPhone, supports it. It's just a question of Apple using an antenna and amp to support it. Tim Cook's visits to China Mobile have been no secret, so I'd say the odds are fairly decent.

Second - the ICE example. Who gives a flying **** about this stupid example. Why should I cut into my personal data amount, when there is a free WLAN Hotspot in that train?

WiFi has never been provided free by the Deutsche Bahn. Never. In fact, you have to pay a ridiculous amount (ever iCafe offers waaay more for the money) or have a contract with Germany's Next not-so-Top Carrier to enjoy an average-to-sucky internet connection which is not worth the tag "WiFi".

While this so called "connectivity" is nevertheless still available, one may be reminded that the Deutsche Bahn and especially its flagship "ICE" are not really in good price ranges and also close-to-always late on schedule, one patient and enduring customer could at least be offered free, sucky WiFi.

Plus, as has been mentioned above a few times, LTE does not match "True 4G". Neither does AT&T's 3G HSPA+ (which they like to call 4G in the bar)... it's pure marketing, and you guys even fall for them. LTE, as it is now, is also very exclusive to certain areas, certain networks, certain phones and certain frequencies and in this fashion certain regions - and there's data caps which are always testing the customer's maximum pain tolerance. You have plenty of dependencies when choosing your halfbaked LTE product, which is already marketed as the god of mobile evolution.

Wake up, people. I wouldn't say 3G is a battery wonder, but I also can't imagine one may be pretty much dissatisfied with the smartphone experience from the carrier with the best network of his respective area. ;)

Well to many iphone users having the latest and greatest stats are not important. Design, integration with OSX, and "amazingness/innovativeness" is. Calling Apple fat, lazy, and stagnant is odd given how many new and incredibly successful products they produce that are then copied to the point of becoming the industry norm. So many Android phones will bump up the specs just to try and draw away iphone customers - often with serious design compromises (battery, screen resolution, etc.). I personally have never even seen an Apple commercial. I fail to see how marketing alone could rocket a company up as fast as Apple's has.

oh, great. congratulation. other companies already started with it last year. it's too late, dumb ****. Samsung & HTC will sue it. bye, rotten apple.

contratulation to you too

I definitely get more than 3 hours of browsing, maybe I have a newer revision of the phone?
No you don't, it's your imagination or your light web browsing use makes you think otherwise. 3hrs is what you get for web browsing, check all reviews they all say the same thing. Blame the white webpages that are the ones really taxing on AMOLEDs.
