You're thinking the iris scanner will be built into the Retina display? I figured it would use the camera.
I figured it would use the camera too but then I was thinking the front facing camera would not work well for something like this. So it's either going to be a separate sensor/reader or they are really upping their game with the front facing camera.. time will tell.

I really hope this is BS. Who wants to put iphone closer to the face each time an unlock is needed?
Also, can we stop these 2017 iPhone rumours for now? Its getting boring especially when the iPhone 7 is not even out yet. Just start in one month time, that will be ok :)

You get into a fight and end up with black eyes...the phone isn't just gonna not recognize you...the phone would probably alert the cops because some stranger is trying to access the phone. -alert-

Anyway, note 7 has it... Maybe Apple should approach differently....like being able to read my mind.....hmm that would be interesting.

Next year's iphone...next year's iphone...next year's iphone...next year's iphone...

I heard the 10th anniversary iPhone is going to revolutionize the industry as the first mobile device to employ Klingon Cloaking Technology

The new iOS vocal commands will be accessed with "Hey, Worf..."

By far, my favorite comment of the day.

Kudos to Apple for being the first to develop such an incredible feature. I wonder who will be the first to copy them.

Half the girls I've dated in Asia wore colored contacts, and 80% had iPhones.
Interesting fade. I guess, individuals like that would have difficulty getting an accurate eye scan for identification purposes.

I wonder if regular contacts would distort the scans as well. Then there are people like my spouse who often switch from wearing contacts to eye glasses at different points of the day. Maybe the device would have to have multiple scans of a person's eye at different times of the day (some people's eyes change shape during the day) and in different conditions. The person would have to set up multiple scans like we currently have to have scans of multiple fingers.

Imagine having to stand there and scan your eye, each time you want to use ApplePay. I think I'd rather use TouchID, I look less of a pillock.

That's what people with the Note7 are going through, looking like a pillock while they're standing in a queue trying to pay with their phone.

Could end up being like demolition man, stick a pen in a dudes eye and walk over to the scanner. Yikes! :p

Dear readers, moaning about lack of Mac updates is not going to make them come any sooner, so please, please stop it.

It's incredibly annoying and 99% of the time off topic.

Thank you.
It's so ridiculous. Oh hey, an iPhone post??? Let me complain about Apple TV's in it.
