Can't wait to see some size comparisons. Particularly with the HTC one.
Until someone does it in a video, here you go.

Someone at xda received one and posted some pictures taken with the N5.

See the GS4 and the Note 3, get a Nexus 5 and an iPad.
And just to make it a bit harder for you, picked up a new iPad Air this morning and it's very nice. I thought I'd never go back to the full-size model after getting a Mini last year but wow, it's so much lighter and more manageable to hold one-handed, cannot believe the difference.
Apple has offered significantly more powerful iPads every year at the same price...
... and there you go making it even worse![]()
One version of the phone for north america, correct? I'm on T-mobile and I don't have to worry about getting the right version of this one, buying from Google should be fine?
Sorry.I've become a bit disenchanted with my Note 10.1 (2014) (mostly Samsung software related) and wanted to see if the change in form factor in the Air was up to all the hype.
And if it helps, I also have a Nexus 7 for my portable size tablet which I'm keeping. If I wasn't and only could have one tablet, I'd probably get an iPad Mini Retina as well.
I just fold the flap back and talk, no issues, on those few occasions I actually talk on the phone directly (generally, when I'm pretending it's 1998).I tried a similar one for my iphone once....how do you get around talking on it? I feel like a fool putting a wallet to my ear. The one I had for the iphone 5 was bookbook by twelvesouth. The phone snapped into place, so it had to stay in the wallet when talking.

Fine, no problems. Thinner than my wallet was. Note that the one I linked above is not the same as the one I have (the one I have is this one), and that closing flap on the Nexus 5 one might get in the way.True. I don't talk that much. Usually when I do its through my car bluetooth. How does it fit in your pocket?
Enjoy going bareback.I don't know about y'all, but if I'm getting the Nexus 5, I'm rocking it naked. Screen protector only.
I love the feeling of the soft matte plastic back.
Yup. LTE and all.

If I get the Nexus 5, I may be inclined to go back to the iPad in 2014. Depends on iOS 8...

Don't want to drag this thread off in a different direction so only one more comment. The note 10.1 comes sooo close to being the killer 10" tablet--if only Samsung would spend some damn time on their software, optimize it and quit trying to just overpower everything with more horsepower. It's got a top end multi-core mobile CPU with 3GB of RAM yet after using this iPad Air for about an hour it feels infinitely smoother. So my choice now is very good hardware using an awful skin with buggy software on a terrific OS (Samsung) or great hardware with terrific apps on a very smooth and razor quick but ultimately limited OS.<sigh>

Not even an Xtreme guard rear protector?
BTW, I owe you a big thank you for turning me onto their wares--love the back protector on my One, so much that I've ordered some for all of my gear (iPhone, Nexus 7, iPads). And if you need any now, there are some 80% off coupons available to go with their free shipping.
Xtreme Guard rocks. That's as far as I'll go, but I like the feeling of the soft matte back and may just take the risk of going naked.

Anyway one have any clue when reviews are inbound? I thought that a few places got early devices...?
Understood, feel much the same way about my Nexus 7, haven't put it on yet but couldn't pass picking one up it was so cheap, only couple of bucks.
Yea... for a few bucks, maybe I ought to do the same. Just in case I start seeing the back taking on scratches poorly or something.
Hm. Thanks for the heads up.
EDIT: Oh man, with the coupon, it's only $1.40 for the back guard, free shipping. I will get it. lol.
Just noticed they are already selling protectors for the Nexus 5, will ship 11/8. They're selling both front and back protectors for $10.99 total, but with the 80% off code, only $2.20 with free shipping.
Highly recommend these protectors.
