So you think Google is stupid enough to just surprise release their biggest device with no major announcement ahead of time? LOL

I agree with you. Google just wouldn't release a phone without a massive event. I mean, they make most of their money off the sale of Nexus phones after all.

Absolutely agree. I didn't have one hiccup or anything. Smooth as can be.

IMO, you could ask $450-$500. I sold a mint white 5 16gb a week ago for $400. But I also just saw a 64gb black 5 go for $450. So, somewhere between $400-$500.

Wow, that would be great if I can get that. Pay for the new Nexus. Yeah, the iPhone is mint (zero scratches) has Applecare+, box, all accessories it came with still unopened and unused).

The verdict is still out on that camera. Verge says the first few shots they took looked promising, but they're still worried.

In terms of performance, it's honestly difficult to give a final verdict. Everything seemed crazy fast when it came to launching and switching between apps. That's often the case with a fresh Android phone, however, so we'll need to spend more time with the device before we can render a

Speaking of rendering, the old bugbear of Android has always been scrolling performance. Especially in Chrome, there's always been a sense of lag that seemed completely out of place on top-tier devices. On the Nexus 5, we're very sad to report that the situation doesn't seem any better. There is still not a one-to-one relationship between your finger and the screen, and it's still crazy-making.

I wasn't expecting one-to-one ever, nor am I bothered by that. But thought this is worth sharing.

Yeah the camera and battery are my main concerns.
Maybe the camera will not be quite as good as my iPhone 5's, but I really hope it beats the camera on the HTC One which I owned briefly!

The Play Store often doesn't allow cancellations after a fairly short period of time, unfortunately.

Receipt says "You will not be charged until your order has shipped." I took that to mean I have until shortly before then to cancel, but you're probably right. Guess I'm just used to Amazon's way of doing things. ;)

I'm not particularly happy at having to pay £100 more than the Americans for the 32gb.

That's actually a massive difference.

I might cancel my order in the next 20 minutes.

Think I'm going to stop by BB on the way home to see if they're selling yet. If I can get one in hand by this weekend I'll cancel my order from the Play store.

Unless you'll be at BB within an hour, may want to cancel now and replace the order in the Play store later. Per my last post with Google, you only have one hour to cancel an order.

Wow that sold out pretty quick. Couldn't pull the trigger... need reviews this time around.

Yep, I've already looked at my bank account. What they do is put a hold on the money and then actually withdraw it when it ships.
