Nexus 6 speculation

Well I just don't like Samsung, I hate Touchwiz and I prefer Motorola. Not to mention that its a Nexus phone. For me that's already a huge advantage. But why this is a hard decision is because I really like the iPhone but the Nexus 6 is the Android device i've always wanted to have. I really like both. Ideally I'd love to have both but that's not happening(or at least not yet haha)
 
Anyone seen the nexus 6 apparently has a new photo mode and it's own keyboard mode that's like Swype?
 
After seeing the VOCC fast charging of the Oppo Find 7a, I think Nexus 6's turbo charging will be one of its best features.

If battery life hasn't improved as fast as we want, then fast charging is the next best thing. I mean Oppo Find 7a can go 0-75% in under 30 min can be a time saver during the morning if you forgot to charge overnight. With Nexus 6, it is only 15 minutes charge and you get promised 6 hrs of use.

Fast charging is the next best thing if battery life hasn't quadrupled in stamina yet.

Since 4.2. So 2-3 years?

EDIT: maybe not that long, but it feels like it has been a while. I am pretty sure it was about the time the Google Keyboard became a separate app versus being tied to the OS.

For me at least here are some benefits.

The notification panel is usually much cleaner. I can add toggles myself (no root required) and/or use the quick settings. I hate having a notification panel that is half full before you ever get any notifications.

There is no bloatware installed. No free trials that nag you. No popups that show up over and over asking you to try this feature. Even the Verizon moto x had nagging notifications that were annoying.

Tethering has usually been much simpler on nexus devices and for a while it meant free tethering (not always the case any longer). It is still nice to have it built in at the system level rather than being an app you need to access (on T-Mobile).

Due to speedy updates your device is likely to be more secure from security threats/malware than 99% of android.

Even though nexus devices don't sell well, because they are reference phones for developers you are almost guaranteed that your phone will be supported by an app and in a lot of cases your phone will be the best supported because the developer uses a nexus too.

And finally there are still a few stock apps that aren't on the play store (from google). I happen to really like the stock clock app because it makes very good use of active notifications.

I'm sure there are more benefits with rooting and romming but I don't do that anymore and I still prefer nexus.

50 bucks to go from 32gb to 64gb isn't too bad. I just wish Amazon would sell this like theyre selling the nexus 9. Savings on tax could be a winning factor, at least to me.
 
I hope Spigen actually has a N6 to test their cases with. They should have learned from the whole iPhone 6 issue.

Wasn't the issue just with one model of their cases? Besides, according to the listing on Amazon, the N6 cases are apparently available from mid November so there will be time to make sure everything is fine.

Moto X 2014 water test: Can handle slight abuse. (It's similarly coated as the Nexus 6.)

Pretty sure it was introduced with Jelly bean that would have been in 2012.
