I'd take most reports on phonearena with a grain of salt. They have the tendency to republish variations of the same info and mix it in with some speculation to draw in ad revenue. It can be fun to read sometimes for the fans eagerly awaiting more N6 news but it's no shocker that no other serious outlet is republishing this "news".

Still hoping for a 5.2" screen. Maybe they will have two sizes?
Doubt it but I'm not buying a 5.9" screen.

Has the Moto x+1 came out with a size spec yet?

Nothing beyond the rumors, which I'm sure you've seen. Honestly, my money is more on a 5.9" Nexus 6 with a 5.2" X+1 though I heard something about maybe a 5.2" Moto X+1 GPE, but there was also a a rumor of a GPE Moto X that never happened so....

5.9" would be too big for me as well, if this is the case is the Moto x+1 the closest thing to a nexus type phone?

When did the Play store start selling the Nexus 4 at discounted prices in order to clear inventory?

The Nexus 5 is still full price in the Play store and is coming up on a year by October.

I'm patiently waiting so I can decide on a Nexus 6 or a new Moto X.

A few days, maybe a week before the n5 the n4 dropped by close to $100 and sold out very fast. Once it was gone, it was gone forever.

Ok, now a whole new rumors comes out on the Nexus 6;

Nexus device(s) coming October 7, 8, or 9th?
http://tktechnews.com/2014/09/15/nexus-devices-coming-october-7-8-or-9th/

October 7 8 or 9 looks to be the time frame for some type of nexus launch

What are we getting? Well a nexus tablet is a pretty safe bet. But sources state there may be phones as well. Yes I said phones plural.
Sources late last week said even HTC could also be working on a Nexus Phone, that puts the rumors at a HTC, LG, and Motorola nexus launch.

I'm going to wait till then to decide what my next purchase is .... Sadly if rumours of a 5.9" nexus 6 turn out to be true (with no 5" option) then its back to the alpha or iPhone 6

GSM rocks. Our biggest carrier switched from CDMA to GSM and it has forced more competitiveness since customers can freely switch out SIMs if they aren't happy with one carrier.

Verizon is 5 years or so to be 100% GSM. With LTE being GSM and VoLTE, CDMA will obsolete itself.

Who is it that wants these massive phones? Where are these people? I've never seen anyone using a Note or anything even close to that size.

I don't want a phone any bigger than my Nexus 5 and I will probably cry if the new Nexus is enormous.

Pp

US Internet speeds are pretty slow, and if the FCC gets their way, it will get worse!

I just speed tested Verizon LTE, 17Mbps.

Ewww. My dad gets 40mbps on 1 bar on his iPhone 5 with LTE. Obviously we are normally around 70mbps and 100mbps while not super common, are occasionally seen.

I hear Verizon are the "Apple" of carriers.

That's an insult to Apple.

I fully expect the Nexus 5 to follow the same model as the Nexus 7 and the MotoX. Common sense suggests the Nexus 5 2014 will come into existence.
