Rodgers will end up with the team that he thinks can 1) win immediately, in what time he has left and 2) shows him the respect he believes he should be afforded. To put it kindly.
Those who aren't so inclined to put it that way might say -- not necessarily in that order, and the chip he's had on his shoulder since that looong draft day is still a big part of what drives him.
Is Denver that team? I dunno. Their offense has supposedly been inept for a long time, and a HC/OC isn't necessarily going to fix that, if he doesn't have the players, like a Rodgers or Davante Adams. I guess
all three could migrate there, and try to replicate the Brady/Gronk thing in Tampa if their cap space allows.
However unlikely, the bonkers scenario would be for Rodgers to end up playing at home in San Francisco for a couple years, giving that rookie they drafted more time to develop, and learn from one of the best. Even if Garappolo were to lead the 49ers to a championship, he's probably gone.
The Bucs might end up looking for a QB as well…
Mike McCarthy should probably add Sean Payton to his Xmas card list if he didn't already, but if/when Jerry Jones can convince Payton to coach again, and work out a deal with the Saints, is that a hard call?
The Chiefs had 13 seconds, starting from their own 25, and did what they needed to do to tie the game.
The Cowboys had 14 seconds, on the 49ers side of the field, and called a draw play with no time outs remaining.
Granted not an apple-to-apples comparison, but not quite apples-to-oranges either, and does illustrate the some big differences. Holy moly that what a show those two teams put on.
Jones, to his credit, acknowledged that the Cowboys lost the game well before that last drive, but that could be interpreted as an even bigger indictment.
