Me too!!!

The games were good and they lived up to what they should be. I was getting worried in the first half of the Chiefs and Bangals game, was looking like it was going to be a blow out. Glad it wasn't! You could see the moment the Chiefs started to unravel.

I am soooooo glad that team from SF didn't make it. Out of all of them, that was the only team I didn't want. Sorry @Fozzybadfeet ...
You're a Cowboys fan, right? I wouldn't expect anything less lol.

I suppose he wanted to make the announcement himself. The Goat is officially retired.
I can’t blame him. But I think the whole thing started where players/coaches were already wishing him on social media, and that’s how this whole thing started. But at least Brady didn’t drag this along.

ESPN put a really nice tribute together of his NFL tenure, it’s just crazy to show you his career completion stats. Just truly a legend and to walk away the way he is in his good health at 44? Just nuts.

I'm in this weird position, that I'd like to see Stafford win a SB, but also the Bengals win it all. I guess, I'll watch the game and enjoy what is presented :)

As for Brady (I thought I already posted my thoughts), that many people feel slighted here in New England. He was our QB for 20 years, reaching the super bowl 9 times and winning 6. To have his retirement speech go into fairly decent detail about how the Bucs mean to him (a place he only spent 2 years) and ignore the team he spent 20 years seems classless.

I'm not taking any personal offense, I've always taken the position that its only a sport, they're millionaires, I'm not, and at the end of the day, whether they win or lose, I still need to get in the morning and go to work, so its no skin of my nose whether he ignores the Pats or not. It does remind me at how Favre and Green Bay had a fractured relationship which just recently got patched up

I’m rooting for the Bengals as they have never won a Super Bowl. But, I would like to see Von Miller get another ring along with seeing Stafford win one after all those years in Detroit.

Agreed. I originally thought he would release a separate statement about the Patriots or sign a 1 day contract and retire as a Patriot. But that is seemingly less likely as time goes on.

That's what I thought as well, but when he totally ignored the pats, it seemed really odd. I guess Robert Kraft was deeply hurt by the slight. Yet, he offered a classy and heartfelt response to brady's retirement.

Either way, it has no direct impact on me as I've said in the past. I still have slave away while he can spend his days counting his millions ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Not to mention, counting his days with the wife... :)

I would have thought the Pats would have signed him also, that is strange. But in the end, you are right, it has no impact on us.

Does the Football HOF designate a team for which an inductee played like Baseball does? Brady should go in as a Patriot, not a Buccaneer. Maybe there are rules about that??

I don't think they go in by team.
Enshrinees do not go into the Pro Football Hall of Fame as a member of a certain team. Rather, all of an enshrinee's affiliations are listed equally.[17] While the Baseball Hall of Fame plaques generally depict each of their inductees wearing a particular club's cap (with a few exceptions, such as Catfish Hunter and Greg Maddux), the bust sculptures of each Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee make no reference to any specific team. In addition to the bust that goes on permanent display at the Hall of Fame, inductees receive a distinctive Gold Jacket, and previous inductees nearly always wear theirs when participating at the new inductee ceremonies.

I have no dog in the fight, but if I had to choose, I'd pick the Bengals.

I know people in LA who were big Rams fans…until they skipped town and went to St. Louis.

While gone, they lost an entire generation of fans, who flocked to other in-state teams, like the Chargers, Raiders, and yes, 49ers. Or the semi-pro college team in town :D

The diehards won't forget being jilted. Some who never developed any attachment might jump on the bandwagon, and that's a common thing anyway during the SB. With the game in LA, and the Rams playing, the fair-weather fans will probably reach a high, especially the celebrity types.

A SB win will mean a lot more to the folks in Cincy, and for that alone, makes it the team easier to root for.

True, especially when you consider the laissez faire attitude of most the LA fan base.

I wonder if the Rams defense is going to be just too much for the Bengals O line though...

I flipped over to it just to check if it was going to end before our local news was to come on. I caught the end of a weird "play" that had the refs blowing whistles just as Daniel Jones was running around the end with the ball, and crossing the line of scrimmage. Other players stopped. He kept running like 60 yards to the end zone. The announcers were laughing. What happened?

My only guess is that the ball had been snapped before a ref set it.

So what's up with Kyler Murray? He unfollowed all of the cardinals social media, and expunged any pictures of the cardinals on his accounts
Kyler Murray unfollows Cardinals on social media, deletes all franchise-related pictures on Instagram

It sounds like he's wanting out of Arizona or he's unhappy there for some reason

He, too, is following Lincoln Riley to USC. ?

But seriously, like the story outlines, it's probably the usual reason -- $$$ -- and he wants to work a new extension now.

A big part of success in today's NFL is drafting well and winning while the young stars are still on their cheap rookie contracts, before they get their payday, suck up cap space and compromise the rest of the roster.

Or, perhaps he's also unhappy that Kingsbury has seemingly hit a wall, and wants a regime change. Aaron Rodgers Lite?
